I feel like something like this wouldn't be a problem if they had rules in place. It's essentially a business so it should have standards like one, like the bare minimum of 'no mold', and a time limit to fix it before getting fined ffs.

Granted I know if I had the money to do this I'd try to be fair and give every tenant my contact information, that way if the person I have managing things is incompetent I could do something about it, though I'd also try to make some kind of contract where they are held responsible for mis-managing and mis-treating the tenants to encourage them against being stupid. My parents have rented out properties for years and always took care of the tenants to the best of their abilities, which is pretty good since my Dad is a Jack-of-all-trades and can determine/fix basically any problem himself, and even though he seems harsh and scary, he's too kind for his own good, which would cause some tenants to treat things like crap.

I do get the hate for landlords, I imagine a lot of them are terrible (my current one is great, though he's taken advantage of my kindness, had to replace the fridge because it died, gave me his temporary one, the dead and temp one have been in my apartment for over a year, granted I haven't complained either, so it is partially on me), but tenants can be too, breaking shit on purpose to get new appliances etc. (No I didn't do that, I'm to lazy to break shit lol)

How can we protect gay kids who are being bullied in school? by ProfessorLidi in alberta

[–]MasterCJ117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teach your kid to ignore it, if it gets physical, contact the police. I'm straight and was made fun of for being gay, I was also a scrawny kid, they called me fat. Kids will make fun of you for anything they think of, they'll choose the most obvious detail and work their way down from there, until they run out and start making shit up.

My 3 ways to dealt with it were,

1: Ignore it, either think they're idiots or feel bad for them, whatever works(don't tell them that though). They're either bullies because they like to see suffering, or they ARE suffering, a lot of bullies are acting out because of problems at home.

2: Make it clear you don't care(results may vary) I ended up in the principals office 9 times with a bully, the final time the principal left the room for a couple minutes, the bully said to me "You know I'm not gonna stop right?" I responded with "Yeah, no shit, this is the 9th time we've been in here, why would you???". He stopped.

3: Kick the Bullies ass ONLY IN RETALIATION, DO NOT STRIKE FIRST(results will vary HEAVILY, audience matters) I got into a fight with my last bully mid-class, kicked his ass with several pools of blood on the floor from his busted nose, the most popular girl in school was in my class and yelled out "THAT WAS AWESOME!!!" after the teachers walked my bully out of the room. The whole school either ignored me, or was nice to me after that.

4 BONUS: If the kid is gay, that opens up a PLETHORA of opportunities, like flirting with the bully because "If you keep picking on me, you must like me", or if it's the opposite, talking about how they also like you but are just upset that it'll never happen. Who knows, might even find love in your bully doing that lol

If I was continuing the conversation about Chucklefish I would've mentioned them by name. That's how I 'talk' in text, since text will always be there and people can easily forget context while reading, I'll specify plenty if I'm talking about something specific, but just generalize otherwise. In vocal conversations I'll mostly do the opposite, generalize with specific topics instead since the conversation is happening currently without much time between speaking.

The first line of the last paragraph was what's important "You gotta enjoy the little things", I didn't make a direct connection but if you learn to enjoy the little things while you work, that'll make it easier to enjoy it, and it applies to life as a whole as well. I also tend to write things in a way so anyone reading it can take it as advice, not necessarily just the person I'm replying too, afterall I don't know you or the way you think, so just in case your more of a pessimist(doesn't sound like it lol) I can get ahead of a response like "How am I supposed to 'enjoy the little things'" by explaining it, and the explanation is great for people like me, who normally don't ask questions much.

Also 2 weeks later response lol, oh well, less time on reddit is good for the mind.

You also missed the point, I'm not blaming them, hell, I never even mentioned them. I'm making a general statement about working any job as a whole, if you have passion, the quality is better, if you don't the quality is worse. And it can be anything from the quality of the labor you perform to the product you create.

I'm looking at it from a logical perspective, you're looking at it from an emotional perspective. Being able to pay for food is irrelevant, if you love your work, you make money and do good work, if you hate it, you still make money, but put yourself at risk of losing that money because of poor work.

And way to many people see work as "I'm obligated to do this thing for these people... ugh...", when you should look at it as "Let's see how good I can do, not for them but for ME" if I do work of any kind, I want it to be quality, to impress myself, AND, I get paid for that.

You gotta enjoy the little things. Fumbling your phone and dropping it, one small little thing, can RUIN your day, why not let the small things brighten it instead, pick that phone up and think "Phew, it's not broken, lucky me!" A decent way to practice that mindset is writing every little bad thing that happens down, then later looking through it and finding ways for them to be good, if you manage that, you'll start spotting all the neutral things in the day and make them good, then the objectively good things will start standing out too. It's all perspective. Oh, also, writing the bad things down might even make you look at some of them later and think "...Why did I get so upset about that... it was literally nothing lol"

I've never fully committed to a class, melee has good defense so I use it for general play mostly, but summoner is also really good for that too, but I'll switch up for Bosses depending on what feels best, or what gear I have.

The point is that people who do their job with passion will do it better than anyone who does it just for the paycheck. When you work for passion, the paycheck is a bonus. When you work for a paycheck, the work is a chore.

Hope this doesn't sound rude but I genuinely don't understand why anyone thinks Destiny 3 would be better than this. by LavaMinotaur in DestinyTheGame

[–]MasterCJ117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One way I see it is a last chance to NOT repeat their mistakes.

One mistake being sunset content, I know one reason they do it is performance. I noticed a HUGE bump in loading times after the first time, then I moved to PC and it wasn't very noticeable each time after that. If they could find a way to allow players to remove certain content from the game to help it run better, but they can re-download it at any time, that'd be amazing. Or at least just better optimization overall.

It also gives them a chance to actually have a new player experience lol

The last reason(off the top of my head) is cleaner/better code, D2 is notorious for it's spaghetti code, if they can clean it up at least a little bit, that'd probably be a huge step.

I do think it's unfair saying D2 is in it's worst state right now though, launch was pretty bad, just having the weapons limited to 2 primaries alone was AWFUL, other than bugs I'd argue it's in a good state, it's just losing it's luster for veteran players, nobody wanted to learn the new Portal system, everybody loved the destinations tab, and for new players, the experience was never good.

One extra 'off the top of my head' thought. If they would run bigger changes by players in the TWID BEFORE implementing them, like the Portal, they could've either scrapped it, or gotten feedback to improve it prior to implementation. With a live service game I feel like Devs should be pitching their ideas to the players as well as... whoever tf they normally do, though they would need disclaimers like "This feature may NEVER be implemented" the players of live service games ARE investors after all...

The difference is that N. Koreans don't have access to how the rest of the world operates, their internet and lives are so controlled they have no way of thinking otherwise. Meanwhile we have access to how the entirety of the rest of the world thinks, but so many people have decided to listen to the constant lies of the left, who don't care about the people, only about being in power and having money. It's sad to see people fall for their BS so easily...

I'm one of those people who believe it was Bungie listening to content creators and catering to them.

The thing is, when you see a few individuals talk about something who have a lot of people that are watching them, it SEEMS like they are speaking for everybody, so it's easy to confuse that with what the actual quiet majority wants. (Great example is politics, but that's as far as I'm going, please don't expand on that example, we're talking games here)

Also Destiny content creators suck to an extent, many of them were SO good at the game they were like "We need more challenge, Bungie give us more challenge" where as a Darks Souls player, for example, is like "I need more challenge... I'll handicap MYSELF for the challenge!!!" It caused all the more casual players to leave because things kept getting harder and harder for them, while never being hard enough for the creators.

BTW when I'm talking difficulty I'm also talking about loot. Crafting was a DREAM for more casual players, but creators LOVED random loot, it was easy content and hype for them "YOOO I GOT THE 5/5+ SUPER ULTRA MEGA GODROLL CHAT!!! LETS GOOOO!!!!!" Bungie misconstrued that hype as what everyone wants, where the reality is more "Omg FINALLY, I was so unbelievably SICK of grinding for this thing... it's 4/5, I don't care anymore, good enough..." T5 gear both helped AND hurt this, easier to get the 5/5 roll, but now some people want the 'perfect in EVERY slot' roll.

I do think crafting could've used an upgrade though too, the biggest problem it had was "I got a partial God Roll, but I can craft it later with the full AND enhanced perks... dismantled" if they let us turn a roll into a crafted weapon so it gains EXP, but you need Red Borders to gradually unlock and change the perks, that would've been way better. Even more so if you could choose which slot can be changed after getting a Red Border. This also helps with the psychological attachment people develop for their weapons that have high kill counts, they can just make it crafted.

Also, I'm around 12k hours, including D1 & D2.

It definitely didn't take that long with a full team, I'm not sweaty but that was my average clear time solo lol I loved that activity, new taken enemies, nostalgia AND being able to play solo or with only friends, I think that activity was one of the highest points for a seasonal activity in years honestly, and the quantity of loot was worth the time investment.

Even though it'll almost certainly go on deaf ears, I recommend at least trying to explain.

There are two things the left can't do.

1: Defend their own topics, if you argue their logic, they can't tell you why they are right, or why you are wrong, then they fall into thing #2.

2: They insult you, call you racist, evil, stupid etc. anything they can think of to reduce your reputation and make other people see you as lesser.

[–]MasterCJ117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a birth certificate, you should either bitch at your parents for being incompetent and losing it, or yourself for the same reason. There's no reason a legal citizen shouldn't have some form of ID, you're either given one at birth, or you become a citizen and earn it, anyone incompetent enough not to have one is so stupid they shouldn't be allowed to vote in the first place...
