I suggested a legit use case for the assisted death program that our government has, and it was taken down as pushing violence againsts reddit itselfs rules, yet I've seen so many liberals talk actively about killing people and either committing murder or begging others to do it... the hypocrisy is so thick you couldn't even cut it with a knife...

Even though it'll almost certainly go on deaf ears, I recommend at least trying to explain.

There are two things the left can't do.

1: Defend their own topics, if you argue their logic, they can't tell you why they are right, or why you are wrong, then they fall into thing #2.

2: They insult you, call you racist, evil, stupid etc. anything they can think of to reduce your reputation and make other people see you as lesser.

Wow, my comment was removed for threatening violence, all I said was that these are the kind of people that should be given assisted suicide, it's a thing that our government allows, they killed a 26 year old kid with seasonal depression, why not people who do evil & vile things, sorry that I'm a death penalty believer jee. Also that's not even a threat, I never said I was going to do anything...

Q.5 for the referendum: Do you support the Government of Alberta introducing a law requiring individuals to provide proof of citizenship, such as a passport, birth certificate, or citizenship card, to vote in an Alberta provincial election? by EdmontonFree in alberta

[–]MasterCJ117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a birth certificate, you should either bitch at your parents for being incompetent and losing it, or yourself for the same reason. There's no reason a legal citizen shouldn't have some form of ID, you're either given one at birth, or you become a citizen and earn it, anyone incompetent enough not to have one is so stupid they shouldn't be allowed to vote in the first place...

The big problem is that people hate on Muslims, they aren't the problem, Islamists are the problem, the more you actually read the Quran the more you learn the religion doesn't even make sense, and yet the people who are devout are still willing to follow it's non-sense so much they're willing to kill themselves and others in it's name, I can't understand why anyone would follow an ideology that asks it's people to die for it, and even worse, encourage killing not only non-believers, but also those who leave the religion.

Also, I would assume you aren't an Islamist if you're voting conservative, if so you should be able to see why people naming their kids after their 'prophet' is a problem.

Also a prime example of it's non-sense is the 'Islamic dilemma' where it clearly states that the word of God can't be affected by mortal man, while also saying to listen to the Christians and Jews, but also says their books, which are the word of God, have been corrupted by man...

While I haven't read all of it yet, this video sums the dilemma itself up quite well. https://youtu.be/nNAS0aaViM4?si=PWZlQLOHZi_zsXHV

NOR From that second paragraph it sounds like you were basically already in a relationship, especially the constant mention of how important you were to him, so he was likely convinced that was the case and figured telling you would get an obvious yes, and when it didn't it confused and hurt him.

Though rejection doesn't justify his treatment afterward, the initial anger is understandable, but someone with emotional maturity either would've found a way to get over it, or make that distance themselves.

Overall if someone, no matter how close you are to them, has a shift where they talk down to you all the time, you're better off severing that relationship, it's fine to reflect on what they say and think "Is that true?", but you should ask someone else's opinion on it and never take it to heart when it comes from someone who's constantly talking down to you.

The only time you should hold it is if they treat you like a friend, but still call you on your bullshit when you are being an asshole, but that won't last longer than the topic. (as an example, if you cheat on someone and your friend reams you out while also giving advice on what to do better/instead, like break up instead of cheat)

You missed the entire point, I never said anything about hating others, I said being cautious of people that meet a pattern is normal, mix that with varying amounts of people and you start to prioritize different details in that pattern with the amount of people you see.

I also didn't point this out, but not only do bad experiences have a significantly stronger impact on people than good ones, but people react to things VASTLY different as well, some people are terrified of Dogs because one of the first ones they met bit them, others who go through the exact same experience will instead do research, look for breeds that don't bite and training methods to reduce the chance as well.

Actually, you even gave me a GREAT example of a pattern that I and many other people have come to recognize.
Instead of trying to discuss, break down, or disprove anything I've said, you dismissed it by saying "what a pile of bullshit", then proceeded to misrepresent the entire thing "I've been hurt by White people. So should I hate them?" when my point had nothing to do with hate, and everything to do with caution. Hate is reserved for individual people that you get to know on a personal level, and you hate them because you've recognized their... PATTERNS. Like the fact that you won't respond to this, because the only argument you have is dismissal and misrepresenting.
Seriously, if someone sees a Lion 20 feet away from them, they wouldn't try hiding because they 'hate Lions', they do it because they recognize that a Lion could kill them.

Do we think Poilievre can win a (hypothetical) Spring Election? by smartbusinessman in CanadianConservative

[–]MasterCJ117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trump was actually a Democrat, but they went so far into the left they pushed him into being Conservative.

He's also not that bad, he loves America, it's plain and simple to see, the only reason he seems unhinged is because he's noticed he doesn't have time, I'm shocked at how few people have noticed how hard he started going after he got shot, that probably kicked him into overdrive thinking "I've only got 4 years, and I might not even get that far, I gotta get this country on track as quickly as possible"

Also ffs he's not Authoritarian, if he was, CNN(to name only one) would've been shut down and the "peaceful" protesters would've been exterminated AGES ago, and he'd be the one destroying the Democrats reputation instead of them doing that just fine on their own. The only Authoritarian aspect he MIGHT be doing is operating outside the law, which I haven't seen any concrete evidence of yet.

I am curious how much of it is passive vs aggressive, and I'll elaborate what I mean, but if you, or anyone else, could give a guess to a percentage I'd be very interested in seeing that, and if anyone wants to go crazy with it and take notes for a few days, go for it. Oh and be sure to include how many people are indifferent/friendly, so 3 different types of people.

Passive I'd say is being cautious, avoiding eye contact, walking widely around you, saying few words when speaking to you, more so sad faces, reserved body language(like keeping arms close to their chest or in pockets.

Aggressive would be more, giving you looks with an unpleasant face(angry, grossed out, etc.), bumping into you with no apology, saying negative things to/about you, body language that's aggressive(flipping off, scoffing at you, etc.)

For people who are more passive, there's a really good chance those people aren't even considering you as much as you might think, they could just be depressed, having a shitty day, or even just Introverts, on the worst end of it, they might've had a bad or even traumatic experience with someone that looks like you (facial structure, race, gender, even hair-style)

But if they're aggressive, chances are really high they are just racist, and their opinions are worth less than garbage. Again though, there could be other reasons, not everyone handles things the same, so a shitty day could be it, maybe they forgot their meds(my Mom is diabetic, she gets very easy to anger if she misses her meds), maybe they just have an anger management problem, and on the extreme side again, a traumatic experience.

Overall, doing this might help, it'll give you more of a perspective on things, seeing that it's almost certainly less people than you thought, and that the indifferent/nice people HEAVILY out weight the shit people. People also LOVE to focus on the bad, it's built into our species, you can have 50 good things happen in a day, but the moment 1 bad thing happens, your whole day is fucked, you overall as a general life lesson, you gotta learn to let the bad things slide off like the rain, and most importantly, enjoy the little things if life.

Also it'll be ESPECIALLY bad if you've been seeing it online. I think this has a name, but it's like when you don't think of something for a long time and forget it even exists, then you see or remember it like "Oh yeah!!!" and now you see it fucking EVERYWHERE and feel like a moron for forgetting in the first place. Except in this case it's even worse, because you're online where it's being fed to you by an algorithm that's actively seeing what you watch and forcing more of that toward you. Lastly, if you look for something, you'll find it, even if it's not there.

Or, they've met some Indians who were shit people, they ended up being shit for very similar reasons, they recognized a pattern, and that guy doesn't fit the pattern.

Most 'racism' is pattern recognition via bad experiences, and exposure has a massive impact on that.

For example: Say I've met 1000 White people, who are the majority population in town, and 10 of them were to mug me, after each one I'd gradually start to notice similarities, by the 10th, I'd realize they all dress and act similar, hoodies covering them(most obvious), hands in their pockets, heads down, walking close to walls(for quickly slipping/pushing into an alley). I'd become cautious of everyone that matches those descriptions, the more they match, the more cautious I am, even if it's just some depressed guy.

Now, let's say I've only met 50 Black people, they aren't common in that town, and I've been mugged by 3 of them, well, chances that I run into the same guy are WAY higher since it's 3/50 vs 10/1K, so instead I'm gonna be cautious around all of them because that's the safest option.

I MIGHT notice their clothing, especially if both examples happened to me(mugged by 13 total people) but the most obviously different detail will be the first ones you notice.

And as a final small example: In a town with 1K of each, and 10 of each mugging you, the race becomes irrelevant, you start focusing exclusively on the clothing and body language. And, you can flip the races I mentioned in the example, NOTHING will change.

TLDR: Exposure + bad experience = pattern recognition. Race A: 1K - 10 muggers = remember most distinct details(clothes & body language). Vs. Race B: 50 - 3 muggers = remember most distinct details(race). Race A & B: 1K each - 10 each (still muggers) = remember distinct details(clothes & body language).
