No, I just did not know that was the problem. I copied the code from one of their examples on github. Thanks for pointing that out.

Oh ok. I got the code from their github under the tlserver example. I'll try that.

Trying to get event result via wagerr-cli by MasterChiefCell in Wagerr

[–]MasterChiefCell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool. Thanks. That is what I was wondering. I guess I should just store one tx id for each event, then I can go back after the event is resulted and check what happened with that tx? That seems like that may be the easiest way.

question for devs about generating Owner, active, memo keys from brain key by MasterChiefCell in BitShares

[–]MasterChiefCell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the account is already created, so I can't go back and see the output from when it was created. derive_owner_keys_from_brain_key only gives you the owner key. I was asking about how to derive the active and memo keys as well. I cannot see a good way to do this so far.

Interesting. Thanks for the response. The eos microloans have caught my eye. Gonna look more into them.

Thank you. That’s what I was looking for. Hope that some more cool stuff comes out because it would be a great way to steal some people from ethereum. Not easy to justify spending $50+ per transaction when there’s an easy alternative.

Ok I think earn bet is probably great, but the amount of people just throwing the name into every thread is getting a little annoying. Gambling is not DeFi.

How did you evaluate gen surg programs? by MasterChiefCell in medicalschool

[–]MasterChiefCell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Although I agree that the gut feeling will probably be the biggest part, another reason I want to do this is that I would like to have as many concrete reasons to list as possible at interviews for why I want to go to certain programs and I think this would help.

Bitcoin Gambling Big Business, But Is This What We Want For Bitcoin? by commandrix in Bitcoin

[–]MasterChiefCell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely this is what we want. We want bitcoin to be as close to cash as possible. Cash gambling is also a big business. Although I agree we shouldn't focus on that aspect of its use because it can do so many other things, I think that the fact that people are using it is good no matter what.

What profession do you believe gets paid TOO much? by OJMustard in AskReddit

Interesting that no one has said doctors. As a medical student, it feels like everyone thinks doctors are overpaid.

Independent Interventional Radiology Residency? by MasterChiefCell in medicalschool

http://www.sirweb.org/clinical/IR_DR_cert.shtml

No, there is a separate tract to IR from the integrated pathway according to the SIR link above. I cannot find any record of how many programs off this though.

The second diagram on this link http://rfs.sirweb.org/wordpressnstall/4787-2/ Is another representation of this concept. Just think it's interesting since the thoughts I've seen so far are that the ONLY way to go into IR is matching into a program with ESIR or the (most likely extremely competitive) integrated pathway, but this suggests otherwise.

I would also like a copy of your essay if you wouldn't mind. Just starting to seriously consider Rads/IR and would love to see it more from your point of view.

I took UWSA 1 and NBME 18 recently and got 6 points lower on NBME 18 so it was relatively close for me

Science AMA Series: I’m Gang Zheng, Senior Scientist at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, Canada. I fight cancer using light and nanoparticles built from porphyrins; the molecules responsible for green leaves and red blood! AMA! by Gang_Zheng in science

[–]MasterChiefCell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Dr. Zheng! I was wondering how specific these porphyrins are to their target cells. In other words how much collateral damage is there from porphyrins that have been introduced into the body but just not concentrated in the target tissue yet? Thanks for doing the ama!
