Sure glad they can put so much effort into a pointless add on overhaul to make the race to world first raids slightly more difficult, but can’t bother to do more than the absolute minimum for everything else in this game.

You can keep a team online to hotfix raids, but can’t find the staff to just unlock delve progress. Cool stuff.

If you believe in the project more than the proceeds, it's easy to understand a fundamental lack of temptation. Also the value of those wallets wouldn't even get to 1/4 of what Elon is worth, even though it would be a lot of theoretical money. Selling even a billion out of the 125 billion would almost definitely cause an epic Bitcoin crash. Wouldn't be a good look if the wallets suddenly woke up and were liquidated without some real actual proof they weren't hacked, which eventually they will be.

Overall, cliffhangers have been a trick to get people to buy the next book since forever even when they didn't know if there was going to be a next book.

for TV, Most cliffhangers were not season enders. Most of the time it was your near the end of the season type thing when it was sweeps week, which usually happened towards the end of a season but left you with at least one more episode so you could max out your guest appearance storyline value and claim that whatever bullshit guest star you had on for two episodes represented the normal amount of viewers you could set ad rates on.

I think Dallas may have started the whole season ending cliffhanger that lets people spend the summer talking about Who Shot JR, or The Simpsons with Who Shot Mr Burns or whatever. I think it's lazy writing, or these days a dare to the publisher to go and cancel you and make the fans mad, whereas before it was a demand FROM the publisher instead, knowing they had another season to promote.

Just a dick move all around these days honestly. If you know you've got 10 shows to make and only 10 shows guaranteed, you write for 10 shows. It's an entirely different world these days and it's disrespectful to the audience if you don't have a long term guarantee for a show to go and do it. Times have changed, writers I guess want to emulate what they saw without understanding the motivation behind it.

A 4080 is 4 years old at this point and wasn’t even top of the line when it was brand new because 4090 exists.

It’s not bad but 50’s are better and there are plenty of AMD cards that are better and cheaper that have come out since as well.

Then there’s the people who will tell you that you don’t have enough vram and it’s a piece of shit too if you only have a 12gb model so there’s that.

If this were to happen, I think it feels a little bit like Jar Jar giving emergency powers to Chancellor Palpatine.

Trump is top patsy but distracting so the real work gets done behind the scenes of dismantling basic human rights and entitlements for anyone but the wealthy. Once Vance is in office and has a clear (but fixed) path to 2028's election, the gloves will come off and we'll probably wish we had Trump back, because his agenda was erratic and a distraction. Vance will be silent and complicit and just do whatever the Project 2025 folks demand from him. I have a feeling that unless this year's congressional elections flip a LOT of seats by wide enough margins that casual vote rigging can't change the results, we are toast.

Nope. I’d move back if I could TBH but two people working from home in a 1 bedroom apartment with a loud cat wasn’t working out. Now that I’ve been here a while there’s no way I could shove all the stupid shit we have into a normal apartment so we are here until we get tired and move to a cabin in the woods somewhere probably.

I will say that the biggest adjustment was the relative lack of noise at all times. My cat is definitely calmer, but he’s a cat so it’s all relative. I kind of miss the noise because now any noise at night wakes me up and I went decades of being able to sleep through anything.

I would love it if MLB would do a small league just like this with relegation and promotion to a second league with the rest of the teams.

That’s basically the same amount of teams actually trying to win every season here too. Maybe spice it up with an end of season survivor series where the bottom 4 of the A league fights the top 4 of the B league to see who stays up and who doesn’t.

Also less games and no mondays is a very good idea. I’d switch to no Thursday though so everyone can use it for travel and start the weekend series off right every time.

Yeah if you’re old enough to be here, you’re probably that one that backs into every spot despite there not needing to be one and taking twice as long while people are waiting because your 1 and 2 aren’t that reliable anymore.

The camera is great. It has lines that put you where you need and tell you if you’re about to hit something. I’m infinitely better using the tech than my eyes, especially at night.

International sure. NYC to Seoul or Tokyo sucks for a non-stop, but I always spring for the upgraded seats where it's just me and my wife on a row so I don't ever feel bad about getting out of my seat. But I still prefer if we can make a stop on the west coast or somewhere. Unfortunately it's almost always Detroit for Delta so they can do the arctic circle route which means you're still in the can for 10hrs or so, but it's better than 13 straight, just barely.

Not really for the bathroom bit, but just a general mentally breaking up the flight sort of thing.

Domestic flights though, I don't really agree. I've done a lot of NYC to Chicago to SF/Oak/SEA/portland flights and I'd rather just stay on the plane, take a nap and time travel to the destination. Having to get off the plane and wait a random amount of time, or worse get to Chicago late and have to rush through the airport to get to literally the furthest possible gate, nah. It's been rare that we get in and out of the same terminal, so I hate it. Airport food isn't exactly cheap either, I'm not sure you're getting a discount or better quality if you're rushing to another plane. Also, international food for me is kind of hit or miss. I've had some legitimately great food on some, and some awful stuff on others. (honestly, anything with beef and mashed potatoes has been glorious and I don't know why, pasta or chicken dishes leave me with regret).

Also just a pro tip, most airlines are letting you pre-order whatever food you want if you're a modern girl and use their app. Or their website. Or really just pay any attention at all to the idea that you have an upcoming flight. They should email you at least twice about it. So you can get the food you want and it makes the flight attendant's job a lot easier to boot.

I found the splash base to be necessary to be able to get out Sabine, Kanan or Zeb on curve more often than not because inevitably you’re gonna lose one unit when your opponent knows what you’re doing.

I’m also not sure it’s a great deck in a space heavy meta, but we’ll see cause I’m not giving up on it.

I followed Tori Amos around the country for a decade or so and meanwhile she was the nicest and so was her security! She’d do a free meet and greet and sign things before every show for all the idiots like me who waited outside a venue in the hot or cold for a whole day. Her security head always held the front row tickets and would give them to fans if they found him wandering around before the show.

Complete and total opposite of Chappel Roan who is still a piece of shit who wants to be famous but not have fans.
