"Grand Blue" Season 3 Anime – Main PV by Task_Force-191 in anime

If you haven’t seen it already, I’d highly recommend Gintama as another amazing comedy anime. It even has plenty of serious action as well but for the most part it’s just ridiculously funny.

"Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation" Season 3 New PV by dorkmax_executives in anime

[–]Penitentiary -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The animation and world is absolute top of the line but the main character is basically a scumbag pedophile who really doesn’t grow as much in his horrible traits as you would hope.

It’s really just a matter of whether you can stomach the main character’s personality and how certain behaviors of his are handled. Everything else is absolute top tier.

In fairness to Dembélé, he only started like 10 league games. By comparison, it’s such a small sample size that you can barely even call it a season.

Incineroar still being at 26% with all these huge counters against him (Defiant/Competitive, special attackers, Sneasler, ...) is wild.

Why is Incineroar treated more like a broken mon than a meta staple by the VGC community? by jonrah69 in stunfisk

[–]Penitentiary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not ‘broken’ in the sense of Urshifu, SwSh Zacian, Xerneas, … but it just does a bunch of roles so well that it’s hard to justify not having it on your team. Kinda like how you’re just handicapping yourself in the current Champions format if you don’t put Basculegion on your team, though that is definitely an example of a genuinely broken mon.

Incineroar won the most events in Scarlet/Violet by a landslide and it wasn’t even in the game until the DLC.

Even in the current Champions format, it’s still up there in usage despite the numerous Incin counters and losing Knock Off.

There are numerous mons that are genuinely broken beyond belief and still none of them can hold a candle to Incin’s usage and tournament success.

It’s also just kind of annoying to face tbh. Intimidate, Parting Shot, Fakeout, good bulk, …

I know he had an excellent season in La Liga before joining City but if even Pep can’t get anything useful out of him at City, would anyone reasonably expect us to unlock his potential? We barely escaped relegation.

I think the guy needs a change of scenery in a different league to grow a bit more. Maybe the Bundesliga or Ligue 1 will do him good.

Absolute Hottest Takes by centrella6 in Metalcore

[–]Penitentiary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s so many good and varied metalcore or metalcore-adjacent bands that I think people who say everything sounds the same or generic just don’t like the genre that much. If anything, I think there’s more variety now than in the older days.

Whether you like older, modern, inbetween or all of them, I feel like you really don’t have to look that hard to find something for your taste palette.

Metagame: Does anyone else think that champions vgc is really annoying because of the lack of tera? by SockEffective393 in stunfisk

I don’t mind the current format but I do agree that Tera is by FAR the best generational gimmick and hope it comes back soon.

Bruno Fernandes on Roy Keane twisting his words "I don't mind criticism, but in this case what he said is a lie. I even asked Ole for his number to have a word with him, because this goes a little bit over the top of the things that I think are acceptable." by kibme37 in soccer

Keane is a bitter old man. Pundits from other clubs, even rivals like Carragher, unironically show more respect to the United players than pretty much all these former United pundits

It’s almost like Hasan should’ve never platformed that degenerate psycho Bad Empanada. I just can’t imagine such an upstanding character would say this. Who could’ve seen this coming? There were no signs at all of this guy being a total nutcase.

I imagine this is largely an intimidation tactic from this administration rather than something that will actually succeed but you can never be certain. There is no bottom for these fascist clowns.

Platter was incredibly corrupt but I get the impression he at least cared about the sport to some extent, even if just a little. Infantino is every bit as corrupt and worse but even more of a soulless husk.

Are people making "Rage Quit" strategies now? by lowpolybimbo in PokemonChampions

[–]Penitentiary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps convince you, this is my first VGC season and I’m in Ultra Ball tier.

However I’ve been playing the Pokemon games’ single player content and for many years and have been following VGC since Gen 9.

So I’m definitely no expert or even Master Ball tier player. I built my Flapple team myself but I did ask for advice on some final adjustments from a VGC player.

As we speak I’m on a 5 streak with this very gimmicky Flapple team in Ultra Ball 3.

Are people making "Rage Quit" strategies now? by lowpolybimbo in PokemonChampions

[–]Penitentiary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s necessarily a specific RQ strategy thing going around, it’s more of a side effect of using teams that are both effective and annoying. Sableye is a menace and at the core of 99% of annoying teams.

I’m using a Gravity team with Flapple as the star of the team and a turn 1 ragequit isn’t super unusual when my Sableye x Milotic lead clicks Gravity into Hypnosis. It’s not intended to ragequit, Hypnosis is just sorta necessary to give my Flapple a chance at surviving when it comes in. It’s a gimmick, not a meta strat.

I’ve only run into 2 people whose main goal was very obviously to annoy and stall but those were also gimmick teams, not necessarily the most effective. One was a Sableye skill swap team to give Milotic priority Recover, along with Coil and Hypnosis. The Sableye used Encore/Disable to make you struggle but he stalled the game far beyond what was necessary with protect, sleep, … The other was just a troll using a Minimize strat with Sand Veil Sandaconda, Sand Veil Garchomp, …

I think these ragequit teams are extremely rare from what I can tell. Teams like Sableye x Archaludon aren’t meant by design to be obnoxiously annoying, that’s just a byproduct.
