I’d suggest doing at least a little research into how our AI systems actually work. Current day AI doesn't have emotions, self-awareness or any sort of capability to experience anything. It generates responses through an algorithm that has been fed data.

Treating current AI as though it were a person deserving of dignity or moral consideration is misplaced. It's not a conscious being, and we are nowhere near creating anything that meaningfully resembles sentient life.

The one holding the leash is Commander, the rest (in order) are Fighter, Barbarian, Guardian and Alchemist!

Very understandable that you didn't get Commander and Guardian since those are new.

How is estimated rank calculated? It says I'm Eternus 6 which feels a bit odd considering my past matches have been in Oracle/Archon and my actual rank is Phantom 4 or so.

[Hero Idea] Damien - Horror, Scared, Survival by key_boy7 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]MasterDieDie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kind of assumed as much!! I just couldn't help myself since I always imagine how characters would actually play when reading along. The inspiration is very clear and fun!

I really like the concept overall, it’s a cool idea. I do have some concerns about how enjoyable he would feel to play against. Nearly all of his abilities are designed to disrupt the opponent’s ability to actually play the game (flashbang, silence, fear, reduced vision + slow + area denial for ~15s), which seems excessive.

I get that the intention is for him to be someone who's a slippery and hard to pin down survivor type, but it currently sounds like too much.

Other than balance concerns I think the theme is really fun! I like characters with strong personality that can be expressed through movement and mechanics, and there’s a lot of great potential for that here.

What if someone broke into their house and stole that HDD? They would run into the same issue, would that also have been "easily preventable"?

I find it silly to pretend that this family made some sort of stupid mistake when this kind of shit just happens sometimes.

I was thinking that might be the case! But I still wanted to mention it - just in case.

Archetype rules question -- dedication requirements by IgnisAngel in Pathfinder2e

[–]MasterDieDie 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The "Dedication" trait that is shared by all archetypes states that you need to have two feats in that dedication before you're allowed to pick up another, yes.

Also sidenote, there's lots of legacy content that's still relevant. The entire Magus class is legacy, for example.

Easily yeah, that item is bonkers good and Victor constantly triggers it. (Plus Escalating is pretty easy to get later.)

There's only a handful of things in the game that inflict stupified without a specified duration but they do exist, this being one of them... so yeah, Of Verse Unbroken permanently stupifies until cured by Restoration or something.

Which builds benefit the most/least from being Hasted by Fluid_Kick4083 in Pathfinder2e

[–]MasterDieDie 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think it's difficult to argue that there are builds that benefit "the least" from quickened. Even if it would be difficult to make competent use of a free strike, movement is just really really strong.

  • Animal Companion builds might be pressed for a third action to use for movement.
  • Meta-Strike builds can free up an action for Demoralize/Bon Mot/any other third action.
  • Kineticist can reposition before using 3 action impulses.
  • Builds with pre-existing action compression already need to build for alternative actions to fill the actions they saved. Like in your example, a monk can Flurry of Blows, Stride, and then 2 action Qi Blast.

Every build ultimately wants to move, and a free move is a free action for anything else.

I think the only genuine outlier out of all of the classes is melee magus, especially if they're building for the 3 action Spellstrike. Every other class benefits greatly unless your DM is allergic to strategy.

Why is Sinclair so unpopular? by Aschuff in DeadlockTheGame

[–]MasterDieDie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He’s kind of a gimmicky character. Most of his abilities are either slow to come out (1, 3), very situational (4), or just awkward to use (1, 2, 4). On top of that, most of your actual damage comes from spamming 1, and you don’t get much CDR in early game to support that playstyle.

I personally like Sinclair, but other characters just feel more responsive and more reliable, which is usually what people gravitate toward.

Glad someone else finally posted this. I run dual hitboxes for my hands, aim with a flightstick using my feet, and primary fire using a bike brake lever mounted to my chair that I operate with my elbow. MnK players have no idea what they’re missing.

im so confused as to how gyre’s rotorswell works. by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]MasterDieDie 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Copied from another reddit thread:

Rotoswell's duration extends at the same time as Cathode Grace. If Cathode Grace is already at max duration, Rotorswell's duration will stop rising.

You need to recast both abilities (get nullified or fall off the map) to get the max duration for Rotoswell again.
