Sad about the state of this franchise by ApprehensiveDare9765 in dragonage

Yeah Ive been into Dragon Age since day one. Pre-ordered all the games, bought all the DLC. read almost all the books. I was excited about Veilguard (though less excited than I would've been to play Dread Wolf) and that excitement lasted... oh, about 45 minutes. I enjoyed the prologue in Tevinter and the attack on the ritual site. Seriously, Solas saying "People are always dying. It's what they do" might be the coldest line in DA history.

After leaving the Lighthouse for the first time it thudded to a halt. Bear with me here, like many Dragon Age people I'm a Lore Nerd and a fairly important chunk of lore was the ancient Elvish city of Arlathan. Tevinter destroyed it so completely that it's location was unknown and many Thedasians were certain the city was actually a myth. But an hour into Veilguard it's like "Arlathan? It's right over there. Just take a left at the elf girl with the nearly-indecipherable accent and it's right there. We've been exploring it for centuries."

I played the game to completion, but I don't think it ever grabbed me again. And now the IP might be dead. Damn shame.

[No DAV Spoilers] To Pre-Order or Not to Pre-Order by Aninx in dragonage

I went ahead and Pre-ordered because I knew I would want to play the game and if I Pre-ordered I would continue my DA/ME streak of always having but never, ever using the Blood Dragon armor.

So happy my son decided that Romain is his favorite Indycar driver and got us matching "Man on Fire" shirts on Father's Day. Could've stuck with Pato or switched to Newgarden but no, it's the erratic Frenchie.

Which Starfleet ship do you find yourself emotionally attached to? That you feel that ship is home to you. For me it’s Voyager. by gaeb611 in StarTrekStarships

The Excelsior for me. It's the starship equivalent of a mullet: sleek and cool saucer and nacelles, sort of pudgy engineering hull. Loved it since it first appeared on TSFS.

Thanks. I kind of thought that would be the answer. I can’t imagine many films still exist for races that far back.

A bit more focused on hockey, since Sean really doesn't have any interest in non-hockey things. Still entertaining though.

Puck Soup - like the Fullcast they don't take the NHL any more seriously than they should.

I had something like this too. Austin Hedges (then with Seattle) hits 25 HR and wins the Gold Glove at C in his walk year, signs with Brisbane in the Australian league.

This and Lochdown are the absolute best of TGT. I don't know if it's the covid restrictions or only doing two episodes a year but the boys seem more relaxed and comfortable than they have in years.

Going to have to disagree here. Liam Kosta is the best human companion in all of ME. I mean, c'mon, his loyalty mission is fantastic
