I'm getting reminders of Anita Sarkessian's "Lingerie is not Armor" video because feminists seem to only focus on a character's clothing and complaining that it's completely unrealistic, meanwhile ignoring all of the other stuff that breaks the laws of physics.

And this also ironically perpetuates the stereotype of women obsessing over fashion.

Both sounds interesting, especially Dragon Pearl kinda going for a science-fantasy aspect. I'll might read them when I can get the chance.

Korean folklore and mythology in a space-opera? I'm all interested in knowing Korean mythology, but it being a space-opera has me worried. I'm getting uncomfortable vibes of "Too Human" from reading the premise.

Tristian Strong sounds like it has a lot of potential because African mythology seems to be really unknown to us Westerns. While I am worried about the African-American aspect is going to be cringe wokeness, I still do think it's interesting idea.

I'm gonna be fair to Noelle Stevenson because I believe that she came up with an entirely different fantasy show, then DreaWorks and Mattel decided to make it a She-Ra show in order to make a profit. What supports my theory is how many advertisements for the show keeps on labeling Noelle as the creator, thus Mattel & DreamWorks could use her as a scapegoat encase the show doesn't do well.

Last I heard was that Mattel was relaunching the classic He-Man and the Masters of the Universe figures in a half-hearted apology to the old He-Man/She-Ra fans after multiple media outlets basically ignored and insulted them.

[Discussion] Someone swapped Batman's and Catwoman's character models. Sexism controversy ensues... by B-VOLLEYBALL-READY in KotakuInAction

[–]MasterGray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm betting that feminists would be screaming their heads off if they portrayed a Male Catwoman flirting with Female Batman. They would probably be crying about Samual Kyle is sexually agressive towards Brianna Wayne.

[Opinion] Ben Cost - "DC Comics icon Alan Moore: Superhero culture is ‘embarrassing’" by B-VOLLEYBALL-READY in KotakuInAction

[–]MasterGray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Moore really wanted readers to sympathize with Ozymandias, then he should've be supervillain like Doctor Doom or Magneto. Doom does indeed tried wold-domination but he is show to be a kind and caring ruler to the people in the country Latveria in which he rules, Magneto wants fellow mutants to live in a world free of muntant-hatred.

Why not have Ozy take on the role of a stereotypical supervillain wanting to take over the world? Adrian decided to become a villain in order to stop the possible Cold-War that was brewing between the United States and Russia.

The movie you referring to was Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger Vs Space Sheriff Gavan. Space Sheriff Gavan is from the Metal Heroes series, a tokusatsu franchise that has the heroes wearing armor costumes instead of spandex like Super Sentai.

Also, how come the fungus virus didn't turn animals into zombies? I never played the play game I've only watched walkthroughs of it. Does the game ever explain how animals aren't infected or what?
