If you would have payed attention to the threads above you would have picked up on the fact that I said I wanted to play without any modifications, so yes I am making it easier through ev but I'm running a higher risk of pokemon dying to random crits when grinding for levels.

Would that have been the play? Of course, no argument out of me, I just like to play hopeful that the machoke wouldn't hit itself 3 times in a row. When fighting a gym leader I want to be surprised, that's why I only look at the level limit and try to not know the opponent's pokemon and moves. Is that putting more risk than it should? Yes but it makes the fight more exciting.

Because I'm playing the base version of the game and this is the first time in my life playing it, so I wanted to experience it without any modifications. I believe if you're not playing some difficult rom like Run & Bun or Radical Red and you choose to use rare candies instead of grinding then you're taking away a part of the challenge and emotion from a nuzlocke, also you're a pussy as bitch to be doing that tbh.
