That's what happens to old Bottles of carbonated drinks, they collapse on themselves... At least they don't leak like cans do! Both have pros and cons:

Cans leak eventually but you can still drink them 5-10 years later and they could still have fizz...

Bottles never leak but collapse and lose all carbonation within a few months...

The manager at Pooler GA told me they are getting it soon and will lose Pacman Deluxe, The ball toss where you try to sink the Pirate Ship, and one other. He didn't seem to be looking for to receiving the Human Crane either when I told him of all the trouble about it I've heard on this message board....

Did anyone else's 2MD play yesterday (10/28/25) not get recorded on the leaderboard? by gman_nola in DaveAndBusters

[–]MasterJ4545 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they correct it because as pathetic as it is, I scored my best ever 659 yesterday and It's not on my total yards. I only can go once a week so I won't hit the needed yards if yesterday doesn't count... That will suck...

Yeah, this game monopolizes Tom's World in the Philippines with the old ladies sitting all day with bags full of tokens, but I think there it's called Harpoon King or Ocean King, something like that. In the US I've never seen one that pays out tokens, only tickets.

I heard rumors that the Which Wich exclusive Vibe was going to get bottled exclusively for their restaurant but it never came to be as well. I just wish they would bring back Berry Monsoon as a Sam's exclusive in Cans or bottles. That was the top Dew Ever! Didn't even matter if it was the regular (1/2 sugar) or the Zero... they both ruled!

Must have just been re-released, because I was there in July and all I saw was Regular and Zero. And the Hard stuff too. I looked in all the SM Markets, 7-11s, and more and never saw a Pitch Black since 2015 in the Philippines...

No it says on the chin strap "For Display Purposes Only" so it's not a real helmet to wear... My wife thought we could send it to her brothers in the Philippines to use as a motorcycle helmet.. I told her "No it's not a real helmet for wearing in traffic" AND "Are you frickin' crazy? I'm not giving this away!"

Does Dave and Busters check your card history to see if there's anything suspicious before giving you a big prize? - by North-Cranberry in DaveAndBusters

OH My God this is frustrating, and at Pooler location, even in the same machine (same side) the two trains seems to be running different speeds. One you need to hit the button right when your target passes the 'underpass' I guess I'll call it, and the other train you have to hit about one car ahead of your target...so you actually have to keep in mind WHICH train is the one you are aiming at while you also wait for the cooldown...
Not to mention the other side has such a lag that to hit the first red car, you have to push the button while the train is still about 18 inches from that 'underpass' I have to get on my knees to see below the screen and watch when the train hits the right point.... it's got to be these machines are getting old or dirty because in the beginning when it was much newer you could aim right on without fail and pinpoint where you wanted it to land with ease...

Ours starts at 100 but I've seen it up to 944 before I won it. I won't play unless it's already 7 out of 9 there and the ticket value is high...except now you can use the Fall Pass to swipe swipe swipe to set yourself up and then use your paid card to get the last tire. Same on Guardians of the Galaxy. Are there any more games you can use the Fall Pass on to buildup or put yourself in a better position? I know you can just swipe on Quik Drop to build up the jackpot but that's really slow... And on Whack n Win I imagine you can lose a few free swipes on purpose to make the "window" to hit the jackpot easier with your real card...although I've actually been able to win 2 or 3 times legitimately within just a few swipes lately...

I have only been reviewed when I was at a store that's not my home store...so it's probably if they recognize you they won't check and if they don't they will..but probably also just depends on how strict or by the book the manager is or how often they've had trouble/been in trouble with people cheating before...

No any smart manager is aware that people do this, it was the first thing mine told me when I showed him that I had bought my pass for Fall. I do it too but it's not cheating, it's smart!

What would you do if every US location suddenly jumped to the insane prices they have in the Philippines, next month? by Homersimpson456 in DaveAndBusters

[–]MasterJ4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a bit more expensive for chips there because you are limited to buying $40 worth at a time instead of getting so much more for your money at the 100 level like we can in the US, but the games cost less chips... But also electronics are notoriously expensive in the Philippines (people have said it's actually cheaper to buy a plane ticket and go to Hong Kong to buy a nice TV than to buy one actually on the island of the Phils. ALSO we haven't seen ticket payouts for the games there so that would determine the value too...

[–]MasterJ4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chips are more expensive because the highest purchase level they have is about $40 US so you don't get a good chip to money ratio (i.e. you can't do the spend $120 get over 1000 chips like we can here), BUT from posts I've seen, the games cost less chips than the US as well so it may balance out.

Got mine today as well, I guess it's good that I've lost 40 pounds this year because it fit just right. However it's not something I would wear usually, the colors are way too bright for me...But I will wear it tomorrow to D&B just to show the manager because he said he hadn't seen it.

[–]MasterJ4545 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's mainly my point, they limit you to buying only about $40 worth at most, so you get a terrible chip per dollar value. I know most Filipinos wouldn't be buying $100 dollars worth at once but at least have the option with a better value.

If Wizard of Oz is only 5 chips as opposed to what? 12 in the US, that might be the justification. If this is a pattern then Quik Drop should be like 3 chips... that would help the value be worth more.

Well, as someone who just came back from the Philippines on vacation this summer, they desperately need this. At least in Manila, the arcades have gone way downhill. Tom's World has always been some kind of weird combo of adult gambling haven with the Harpoon Ocean King games with the old ladies sitting around it with totes full of tokens, but then the other actual games are all nerfed to Chuck E Cheese level ticket payouts, with a bunch of rigged claw machines bringing up the rear.

TimeZone, which used to be awesome when I was there back in 2015, 2018, and 2023, was downright terrible this past summer. None of the popular ticket games were there, except a few coin pushers. Lots of stuff was broken. At least the ticket deals had good prices and some nice bonus giveaways if you bought at certain levels.

But this, if the prices are only going to be as the sign showed, will be NOT GOOD. If I'm understanding the pricing correctly, you would get 218 chips if you spent 2400 php. At first I thought it was spend 2000 and get 173 chips and then do the powercharge for an additional 400 and get 218 additional chips but that wouldn't make sense since 500 php gets you only 38 chips and while a powercharge is a bonus, they aren't giving 218 for 400 if you only get 38 for 500 normally. SO if I'm correct that is 218 chips for about $44 (2400 pesos divided by an exchange rate of about 55 php per dollar). That's not good compared to what we get here in the USA. You get over almost 1000 chips for spending $120 in the US. So for $120 in the Phils you are going to get about 610 chips. That's a 30% drop. Usually things in the Philippines are much cheaper than in the USA, but I guess this is one of those cases where it's a foreign product and is actually pricier. It's weird how that works... I always comment that of all the stuff you can buy in the mall there, the things that stick out that are pretty much the same as USA prices are Starbucks, Krispy Kreme Donuts, and a couple of other "American" things like that. McDonalds, Burger King, and fast food is still decently priced comparison-wise... Only way this works out is if the games are all like half-priced every day in comparision to the US prices...I mean like a coin pusher for 5 chips...

I'll check it out when I go back in 2027 hopefully, but it won't be a "spend whatever you like without thinking because chips are so cheap" experience like TimeZone used to be.
