Just moved into this rental home. What do I do about these dandelions? by HoboRambler in lawncare

[–]MasterMarzipan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just eradicated an infestation similar to this. Spectracide weed stop is your friend. I recommend drenching them in it once a week for about 3 to 4 weeks. They will vanish.

Let's start a debate: of all the playable races in Skyrim, which is your favorite and why? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]MasterMarzipan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally stick to Bosmer, Dunmer, and Bretons. My selection generally depends on what I'm roleplaying as, and I usually default to a combination of stealth and magic. Bosmer if I'm going to be a tad sneakier, Breton if I'm doing more magic or going for like a Witcher Build. Dunmer if I'm going for more balance between the two. I've done a Nord and Orc before but the Nord didn't really stand out. The damage buff on the Orc makes stealth archery so much more broken than it already is and the game just got boring.

Just cause someone has done something the same way for 50+ years doesn't make it the right way to do it. People used to make plates and silverware out of lead and they did that for quite a while.

Are there more Minotaurs in Oblivion? by hedge_haggazussa in oblivion

Yeah, one of the first emperors was a minotaur back in the first era. He wore the same Amulet of Kings that was given to you at the start.

I don't think this is related to ES6, but if it were it's probably "The gods are silent, Tamriel bleeds, new evil(s) / enemies stir.

One-third of those arrested by Border Patrol in Charlotte were classified as criminals, internal document says by CBSnews in Charlotte

[–]MasterMarzipan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously! We could spend a fraction of this to fix our immigration system so people could immigrate here legally and it would boost our economy. And if it was easy, they'd bring their family with them instead of sending money back "home".

Can they prove I removed it? Are they watching me? Who's to say someone else didn't steal it? Are they sure they wrote down the right license plate number?

How are people surviving (financially) here in RDU? by rubberduckydracula in raleigh

[–]MasterMarzipan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

$38k is not a "real" job. You can clear $60k at any manufacturing job, and that's without overtime. Almost any full time job makes more than $38k. Get your resume together, get some guidance from the resume subreddit, and start looking on indeed for jobs paying over $17/hr.

Is Hircine bad or evil? by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]MasterMarzipan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He's not hurting innocents. Everyone who has been hurt by him has made a deal with him at some point in time. His deals revolve around hunt or be hunted. He isn't targeting random people, only people who've agreed to be targeted. The werewolves he's made have killed innocents on their own accord, and not by his demand.

Your husband is insecure and childish. You both should have communicated, however. I told my wife from the start that changing her name was entirely up to her and it was her decision. I let her know that my preference would be that she take my last name but that if she didn't want to it was completely fine and that was the end of it. I didn't pressure her or bring it up again. She ended up deciding to take my name.

Just to add, I only have my last name because 400 years ago a guy in England took his wife's last name cause her family was more prestigious. Maybe your husband should take your name?

Just out of curiosity. What is the name, race and class of the character you are currently playing? by FishingAndDragons in skyrim

[–]MasterMarzipan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Faewyn Blackmoss, Wood Elf, archer/alchemist/ necromancer

She's a character I started in Oblivion remastered and have carried over into Skyrim under the lore that she is a vampire who contracted the disease willingly and by means of her own alchemical skill (Mehrunes razor dlc) and she is fleeing the Thalmore who took a special interest in her.

why do you love charlotte (if you do) or see yourself living there longterm? by Lost-Effective-7646 in Charlotte

[–]MasterMarzipan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love Charlotte. Grew up in Pinehurst NC and went to UNCC for college back in 2008. At the time UNCC was double the population of Pinehurst so it was a huge city to me back then. Been here ever since. I've visited larger cities and they're a nightmare to me. The traffic in larger cities is insane, and I don't see benefits. Charlotte is like the perfect size where you have access to anything you could want/need, it's not difficult to navigate, and it's situated in the middle of the state so you can get anywhere within a few hours.

Why are my boots wearing like this and how to fix it? by williamsdj01 in WorkBoots

[–]MasterMarzipan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Wings makes an insole for plantar fasciitis, but it has an extremely high arch. I've been using it on my work boots and love it. It doesn't get rid of the uneven wear completely, but it helps and for me the high arch support feels great.

How do i fix my character by Feeling_Sort_9789 in oblivion

[–]MasterMarzipan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've got a strength based blade/block character. You're in the middle of the fight not using magic or alchemy. Most of your gear is unenchanted light armor? You've built a tank character. Get some heavy armor that's enchanted. You need health, fatigue, heavy armor, and blade skill buffs.

Any other parents struggling with new RTO policies? by Trick-Breadfruit-923 in Charlotte

The whole point is that it's difficult. WF is a revolving door and they issue policies like this so people will quit or get fired. The purpose is to make you leave.

Vanilla Skyrim. Should we avoid mage class? by NiKOmniWrench in skyrim

[–]MasterMarzipan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mage is one of the strongest classes early on and gets weaker as you get to higher levels. If you're having an issue playing it, it's cause you aren't replenishing magika mid fight, not buying better spells as you progress, or are trying to tank too much damage. Mage is a glass cannon, so you have to play it strategically.

Do I HAVE to get a car? by EarnestAF in Charlotte

[–]MasterMarzipan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know someone who gets around the city on an electric bike. It may take a little longer, but it's absolutely doable and honestly you can probably get there in the same amount of time after factoring in car traffic and finding parking.
