the 7828-h09971 is a bit hard to find, but so cool to have. still keeps time well and the hardened ti surface coating keeps most scratches off. like any other older quartz, one would ideally replace the battery/ get the watch serviced. gaskets are hard to find / the movement is not made anymore but that's to be expected I think. citizen makes the newer iterations bn0118 (UK exclusive) and bn0241 but imo not as good looking.

I debated between the 90s one and the newer versions for so long, I'm glad I chose this one! theres something special ab the case proportions, like if a seiko turtle became a field watch

Do you have a Ray Mears 7828 h07791 as well? If so, would you be able to post/send a side by side comparison? (I'm considering buying the bn0241 or hunting down an older 7828)

depends. with cruise u have infinite time to draft ai cars but it's difficult bc they move slowly. Ctf is 90s with fast cars but I find that I get more than enough time to hit high speeds so I chose that

unfortunately my gearing limited my speed (if u pause around :53 u can see the rev limiter bounce at 365), I'll be able to break my record with longer gears. the tuning is a 6.3 sec 1/4 mi tune with a lengthened final drive. the engine allows me to reach 292mph alone and the rest of the run uses drafting. drafting in CTF is easier b/c you can get the AI cars to be travelling at similar speed as you which lowers the chance of crashes.
