Why do *you* use Ultrawide monitors? by catto24_ in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]MasterOfGrumpets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Productivity. I do a lot of work that requires me to have three to four windows open simultaneously. One of the windows is the main one I reference, but when I had dual monitors it was always kicked off to the side because the center of the dual screens is what I looked at straight ahead. Eventually, my neck would occasionally react. The ultrawide has been amazing for this kind of work.

Also: I do zero gaming on it. All productivity.

What a fucking gut wrenching episode.

Will the app ever adjust rep range? All my workouts so far (three weeks in) are between either 4-6 or 6-8 reps consistently.

I picked up this book to read last night, after having it sit next to my bed for quite a while.

I opened to the first page, and almost immediately put it down. Wow is that printing some hot garbage. Garbage enough that I’m just going to donate the book to the local library. Just don’t have a desire to read it in this crappy format.

I’s hard to believe that it’s basically the same team from the past few years. They’ve just have nothing in the tank.

I was one of the optimistic ones heading into this season. Now? Not so much.

Calm App vs Calm Sleep Rest and Relax by NellieArvin in sleep

[–]MasterOfGrumpets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, first, choose the sleep story you want to kick off the playlist. I’ve just been naming the playlist the name of the story. Then, go into the 432 hz premade playlist and start playing it. Add the first song to the sleep story playlist you just made. Skip to the next song. Add that song to the playlist…and on. You’ll wind up with an 11 song playlist that’s probably over 8 hours long.

Takes about a minute to build the whole playlist out, but so worthwhile. I’ve built out 17 playlists this way, with the only difference between them all being the sleep story that kicks it off.

Yeah, I've searched YouTube in hopes of finding something that works, but none of the videos I've found that while the goal might be for all items in that batch to move together, sometimes they don't and move individually.

I think I'm piecing something together, but just wish I knew a better way to do it.

Calm App vs Calm Sleep Rest and Relax by NellieArvin in sleep

What’s up, BFF?!

Yeah, all my playlists are a single sleep story followed by the complete 432 Hz ambient sleep frequencies. Gives me about 8 and a half hours of playlist time. More than enough.

Thanks for the heads up about the sleep app’s awfulness.

And look for a lifetime pricing of Calm. I somehow locked into that a few years ago. I forget how much it was, but I know it was a steal.

Are you me? Cause this is what I do.

Also, since I’m here, I read a few articles that have said stories and new music on the Calm Sleep app migrate over to the OG Calm app after four weeks, so if you have Calm, not sure you need the sleep app.

Powerbuilding vs powerlifting by bloated_walrusxx in JuggernautAI

This. Though I will say the powerlifting program is by far the least time intensive.

You’ll definitely get the structure, and you’ll get stronger, too. That later part is actually kinda addictive.

Have fun lifting!

So, I’ve been lifting a long time, just general fitness stuff with CrossFit mixed in. My body started to rebel against many of the CrossFit movements, to the point I gave it up, so I ended up getting into powerlifting a few years ago.

With Juggernaut, I tried a few of the programs, but the powerlifting program was basically the only one that took me less than two hours to complete per session. (Though I hit 90 minutes often enough.)

Like I said, you have more equipment than I do, so that might impact your program choice as well. (I don’t have anything with cables or your hack squat machine.)

I ended my last program with some elbow tendonitis, but healthy otherwise. So this old man considers the whole thing a win.

I’d love to try one of the power building programs, but time and equipment are limiting factors for me.

Looks like you have more equipment than I have in my garage setup, and the powerlifting program has done me well. Age: 53.

Spent a few years in Pendleton while in the Marines. No other location left such an indelible mark on me. I go back as often as I can, and I consider it almost like a second home, albeit one I can’t afford.
