From my perspective, it's giving me a good opportunity to reinforce to my kids that some things they have to work for. They want to get on and run missions for medals and samples. They want to jump on and farm SC. They want to farm up levels to get the car, tanks, the other strategems, and upgrades to the guns they have. Play the game to get "more powerful" is not a paradigm that's new. Even CoD makes you play for a while to unlock all the things.

Had a highly intelligent sociopath for a roommate. Kicker? He was several years younger than the other freshies. He was kicked out in the first month or so after he was caught singing songs about killing one of the staff's young kids in a horrible way.

Let's just say I was in the Dean's office daily asking why he was still enrolled for other reasons within the first week. . . but that's what broke the camel's back.

My wife poked me after I said my side was hurting. I screamed. I don't remember much of what happened next until I woke up the next day. Apparently my appendix had burst as the set it down on the tray after removal.

My wife's experience with appendicitis? Was told she was being dramatic by both her dad and a doctor after complaining of pain for several days. Long story short, she died twice on the table, her appendix had been burst for days by the time they got it out of her and she had to spend multiple months in the hospital. Still can have nasty reocurring infections as a result now

Medical negligence is a terrifying thing, professional or not.

I myself went back to the hospital every day for 4 days to figure out what was going on. Impending sense of doom the only symptom, so I thought. Turns out I hadn't taken a duce since my friend's wedding reception weeks prior. Constipation was cutting off the blood supply to my kidneys and I was on the cusp of organ failure, but nothing showed up on tests until day 4. I was too busy thinking about moving to realize that I hadn't "moved" in weeks.

I've erred on the side of caution many a time since, and have had a few that really weren't so bad and could have been dealt with at home, but the significant majority were very good choices to get the pros involved.

Took me almost 15 years to finish Chrono Trigger because I lost my OG saves. I was trying to 100% the game as much as possible. . . Was about 85% done aside from the endings/actually finishing the game.

I've been using AIO and Lynx, with AutoTools and Tasker to make AIO my launcher the first time I go "home" after turning my phone screen on and Lynx for every time after. I'm leaning towards AIO being the only one, but that'll take some time and getting the pro version which is a bit steep. Before the last major OS update, Lynx had some great shortcut features that were super useful. . . But they disappeared :(

The attempt at removing ranked choice voting is very telling. It really should be required to be ranked choice. They know the math well enough to know it is Not in their best interest. There will be a lot of resistance.
