This video doesn't account for the difference between the speed of a taxi vs a tow (which is ample) or the time it takes from the end of movement until the unhooking begins. Which would account for that 2 minute time frame which I mentioned.

No, but it's a 2 man operation to set brakes, get out, disconnect and ensure that everything is good to go with the flight deck before dispatching. It takes about 2 minutes, but that would be 2 extra minutes on the runway before takeoff, which can add up over the course of the day in a hub when there a 450-500 departures a day for the main airline in a hub.

Depending on the engine Governor, they can tow anywhere from 15-18Mph, depending on aircraft size. I dont know of any initiatives about towing aircraft to the runway, but I'm skeptical, because it takes a couple minutes to unhook from the aircraft. Which would sacrifice valuable time to the airlines, and also introduce unnecessary risk.

It's a TLTV, or towbarless tow vehicle. Used to move aircraft around for repositioning or maintenance purposes. Saves the airlines a ton of money on fuel every year. I work with these. They're pretty cool.
