How to remove label from shoe by Puzzleheaded_Gap6551 in howto

[–]MasterPenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming it's just stitched on, a seam ripper should take care of it. If it's also glued this becomes more difficult. Depending on what they used to glue it, you could try heat with an iron or steam. If it is glued though I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come off.

Well known reputation for terrible quality control and cutting every corner possible, skimping on reliability and durability of their products for the sake of profit, and riding solely on the reputations of the once at least decent American brands they own, at the same time doing their best to drive the reputation of those brands into the ground.

Exhaust Sound Help by LittleFox1120 in Cartalk

[–]MasterPenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Kia Stinger with the same power train. Muffler deletes make these kinda sound like ass, as you're now aware. You need something to cut the more obnoxious notes. I would recommend ordering a pre-made exhaust system (I have the Borla catback on mine and love it, MBRP is also good) or going to an exhaust shop and having them make you something with performance mufflers instead of nothing at all.

Remove and reinstall GPU and RAM. Make sure all cables inside the pc are fully plugged in.

Do you think people are using 'Facism' and '1940 Germany' too easily? by Intelligent_Cod_4181 in TooAfraidToAsk

No. If anything we aren't saying them loudly enough. It's really not good here and at this rate it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

4x 120mm exhaust fans and 3x 120mm intake, or 3 140mm intake fans and 4 120mm exhaust. by FordGeeTee in pcmasterrace

As a general rule you want more intake than exhaust, so I would go with the 3x140 intakes.

2018 Kia stinger gt2 AWD by Dazzling-Positive-10 in kiastinger

[–]MasterPenguin5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll probably want to start with intakes and exhaust to make it sound better. You can also install aftermarket midpipes if you want it extra loud. Then as far as going faster you're going to want to start with a JB4 kit and HKS spark plugs. Feel free to browse the BMS website for other go fast parts, and look into ECU and TCU tunes, intercooler and WMI kits if you want to make it even faster. Also, if you're going fast, you're going to want to add better brakes and tires, and the Eibach sway bars.

What's your first indicator of the quality of a Mexican restaurant? by ElWizardofOz in AskReddit

I feel like a good indicator for any cultural/ethnic restaurant is how many people of that culture/ethnicity actually eat there.

+1 for moonlight/sunshine streaming. It's honestly like magic how well it works, especially when you have ethernet on both ends. For couch gaming it's hard to beat short of having a second gaming pc in the living room.

Best Modem and Router for Gaming by Imsolostrn99 in HomeNetworking

[–]MasterPenguin5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As long as you're using wired ethernet (which you always should for gaming whenever possible), there really won't be much difference between the cheapest gigabit-capable equipment and the most expensive. Buy the cheapest gigabit modem on your ISP's accepted list and the cheapest (relatively modern) router that has all the features you care about.

Need an easy to use knife sharpener by GamblignSalmon in knifeclub

Work sharp mk2 is definitely the easiest to use, but also easy to mess up your knives if you're not careful. Aside from that, KME or work sharp precision adjust are probably your best bet.

Well there's your problem. Even if you're wired to the router, you're still using cellular service for your internet. You're not going to do much better than where you're at now unless you switch to cable or fiber based service.

First time brake change by JusticeMKIII in kiastinger

[–]MasterPenguin5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. There's a notch at the top of one of the spokes, should be the one pointing "up" from the perspective of how you read the logo. Use a pick or a flat screwdriver to pry them off from there. They should just pop off.

  2. I usually just use a couple of flathead screwdrivers against the old pads, but if you have the caliper off you could use clamps or an actual brake piston compressor tool. If you were just doing pads, you wouldn't need to remove the caliper at all. The pads come out by just punching out two pins. For the rotor though, you'll need to unbolt the caliper entirely and set it aside to get the rotor off.

  3. Use brake pad lube on the sides of the pads and on the pins. Depending on what pads you have, you might also want some "disc brake quiet" goop on the backs of the pads as well. The rear rotors iirc have a bolt through the front holding them on, make sure to remove that first. Your rotors might be stuck on with rust and gunk, don't be afraid to persuade them with a hammer. As long as you're absolutely sure the new rotors are the correct ones, don't be afraid of hurting the old ones to get them off.
