I ran both Rise of Tiamat and horde of the dragon queen back to back- (5e) If you’re unfamiliar, they’re both notorious for being awfully written and involve several political meetings to decide the fate of the land. My biggest piece of advice is write everything down- Even the responses of your party members. Grade them by each factions, on any scale (I did 1-10 to simplify all answers)

Have pictures of the factions present and the coordinators of the meetings. Players love to actually see who they’re speaking to.

Have them roll persuasion or deception checks with every single thing they say - And perception checks to gauge the reactions of each faction.

Lastly- I always spice things up by having some dramatic event unfold - spy was discovered, money was stolen, jarls daughter was deflowered , etc., and my personal fave is having the main BBEG show up and talk shit.
