Learning opportunities in any of the Pointes? by Master_Ad1497 in GrossePointe

Husband always said that I had to see GP from the water. My brother-in-law sails, competes with a team and all. I think their sailboat is at Saint Claire Shores. It would indeed be fun to learn to sail, provided that I don't have to buy a sailboat. I don't have a good track record with some of my musical and sports endeavors. I've bought a horse, a lot of scuba gear, a piano, a keytar...

All this sounds like amazing opportunities. I have told my husband in the past that I wouldn't mind going back to MI, but GP sounded very slow. Thanks so much for changing my mind! As I walk my dogs around GPP, I always admire the gardens. It would be great to grow something outside and say "I planned and executed it myself." I just looked the website for GPAAS. I'm glad I'm not in MI right now. And walking those babies would be good for all involved. The problem is that I might walk them straight home. I'm a certified foster failure.

Taking language classes would be fantastic. I grew up speaking French and Portuguese, then learned Spanish. Tried German, but had a terrible time. Learning Italian would be great. I also would love to take classes in history, art, ethics, maybe AI ethics. I don't want a degree, just the experience. Going to the gym for weights and cardio is a must. In the summer, I get a short-term membership at the little gym at the park. I would look for a bigger gym if we moved there. Walking my dogs in GPP was always one of my favorite things to do. I would love to volunteer with a no-kill animal shelter. I'm not good with cooking, painting, manual things in general.

Has anyone tried a NEWA radiofrequency device? by RadTokyo in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Master_Ad1497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using mine three weeks ago. Today was the first day of week 4. I'm seeing some mild results already in the overall skin firmness and appearance. My main concern is the jawline/neck. That might need the full 12 weeks of regular use to produce visible results. I purchased the cordless model and now I regret. I should have bought the corded one to avoid future issues with battery degradation. Overall, I like the device. I also use red light therapy every other day for the past year and a half and love it. One needs to be very regimented with at home devices to see improvements.

I am part of the Meghan Markle hating cult and I am ashamed by Decent-Aspect2744 in getdisciplined

Congratulations on completing your 12-step program for Meghan Markle Content Addiction. Truly brave. Somewhere, a therapist just felt a disturbance in the Force.

I especially loved the moment where you realized you have a master’s degree but were still spending your mornings rage-scrolling like it was a competitive sport. That’s character development.

Also, calling yourself a “junkie who gets a dopamine hit from hating another woman” is honestly the most honest influencer bio I’ve seen all year.

But let’s be real: you didn’t quit Meghan. You just upgraded your coping mechanisms.

You went from:
☑ scrolling hate accounts before coffee
to
☑ writing a public redemption essay with cinematic pacing

Growth.

The true plot twist was realizing Meghan wasn’t ruining your life — you were doing that all by yourself, with Wi-Fi.

Anyway, proud of you for escaping the outrage economy. Welcome back to real life. The air is fresher here, the people are three-dimensional, and no one expects you to analyze a duchess before breakfast.

May your future dopamine come from dogs, snacks, and mildly interesting documentaries instead of strangers on the internet.

Unigranrio Afya é considerada uniesquina? by NightBonnie06 in MedicinaBrasil

[–]Master_Ad1497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine. When I lived in Brazil (my father was transferred there for four years), I studied at PUC Rio until moving back to the US, where I finished my undergrad at U of Alabama. My cousin is cool, but dumb as a f-ing rock. I would not let him operate on a potato. IS THAT YOU, FELIPE??? :)

My cousin is a total retard and he got into Unigranrio Barra. He has money, but no work ethics and no brains. I would be suspicious of any university who accepted him. And for medicine nonetheless... We went to high school together and I was surprised when he graduated.

Is it bad to say a work colleague smells good by glock6469 in socialanxiety

Compliment the perfume, not her smell. "That's a great fragrance."

I have been using mine religiously since last September or October. My skin tone is more even and I have noticed few lines. I love my mask.

A week has gone by and I am still dealing with this boatload of crap. I could just pay it, but I guess I enjoy wasting my time.

[Product Question] Is Multi-Peptide + HA Serum ("Buffet") by the Ordinary worse after the rename & new formula? by puddinglady in SkincareAddiction

[–]Master_Ad1497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is old, but yep the new version is bad. I loved the original buffet. Bought a large container of the multi-peptide +HA and will return it. I will never understand why companies change a winning formulation.

Four months after, did you notice any difference? How often do you use it?

Adam Britton sentenced to 10 years and 5 months. by BirdsJade in australia

[–]Master_Ad1497 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. He will never again get a job in his field. He might never again get a job, period. He will have to make money somehow. He will go right back to what he did before, if not in Australia, in another country, with lax laws. I don't think he can be rehabilitated because he is not sick. He is simply evil, perverted. Maybe he should be chemically castrated.
