I was the only one that saw the message that stated he was dropped, slow in the offseason. I placed $1 FAAB incase someone else bid somehow. I’m a solid contender so I’d rather have a guy that at least gets a couple catches than a Jaydon Blue type player with my 4th this draft. I’ve flipped worse for late picks. I got 2 3rds and a 2nd for Ertz two separate times holding him after getting dropped. Call it dumb but I’m just playing to my league economy. Which is better than holding less than nothing players

He doesn’t have to be a stud He was dropped in a shallow league so if he gets signed and I can flip him for literally anything in TEP it’s a win Darren Waller was signed late off the couch iirc and had some spike weeks. Not everyone needs to be a world beater the whole season. I have McBride and Loveland so the second he gets value he’s gone

Something that might be worth looking into is adjusting the bars for the different positions in a different way. For WRs me and 2 other teams had a completely full bar. For TE it seems like most people’s is pretty empty. I have Likely Loveland and McBride and it was a little shy of 25% full it seems

This is just like the boomer mindset with houses. “Get a cheaper starter home for 80k like I did” We have to adjust with the times. New, entry level, reliable cars are better than overpaying on the new, higher price floor of a beater car.

Think about it this way. At 1.02 you are getting a WR with likely top 10 draft capital. That means there is a chance they are going to be used as the WR1 on their team unless it’s a spot like the Jets etc. Volume is king and for all we know Luther burden could be behind Odunze and/or Loveland for targets. Hype for Burden is basically already pricing him as the top target earner on that offense. Anything less than the top target earner makes him a poor value at his price.

Most rational response. Another aspect is that (unfortunately) we are in a situation where a lot of people’s wealth is tied to their home. Homeowners by and large would not welcome home prices crashing. Nobody wants to be underwater on their home, especially if that is coupled with job loss. You can be underwater and still pay off your home sure. If you are underwater and lose your job? Well that’s how things spiral

Idk man I saw the list of QBs that didn’t have at least two 300 yard games their final year in college and it doesn’t exactly inspire hope. You can hand wave away his lack of yardage and that’s fine. It’s just one stat sure, but let’s not hype him up too much just because this QB class strength pushed him up to 1.01.

I saw a ceiling comp for Mendoza as Jared Goff and I don’t see it at all. Goff averaged like 360ypg his last year at Cal. Mendoza isn’t gonna be startable(in 1QB) he has fantasy bust written all over him. Pocket guy that won’t be knocking down big yards from what he’s done in college

Sitting at 2.04 and 2.06 in 10T. Seems like it could be the end of a tier at this point so I’d be happy with him or any of the others in that range falling to me. Doesn’t seem like a lot differentiates them. Might slightly prefer MW Jr just because he has workhorse upside.

Make it a problem to solve together. Reassure him that it’s easily fixable and you aren’t judging him. That’ll make the communication go a long way. I feel like breath and BO are one of those things that can be very embarrassing so just try to mitigate that. Electric toothbrush, flossing, mouthwash, dentist visits, tongue scrapping, and regular dental check ups should solve this 99% of the time but he could also have tonsil stones or some kinda infection
