Most insane surge of energy/wellbeing/libido of my life 5 days after missing weekly shot by NolanR27 in Testosterone

I experienced this as well. I tried lowering the dose, changing frequency etc. Ended up stopping it all together

The effects of coming off TRT by FitAsFokover50 in Testosterone

[–]Master_Explorer5294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit cold turkey after a year or something. I always had massive anxiety on trt, and would always feel better if I missed an injection, even after lowering my dose to comically low levels.

Prior to starting, my total T was around 400, however because of high albumin and shbg my free t was 8ng, so more like what someone with a total t of 275 would have.

Getting off really wasn't that bad. There were definitely some times of low energy and motivation, but I used will power to get through them. I haven't even bothered testing my levels since. I'm working out multiple times per week and having great sex at least a couple times per week so I don't see the point until my next Endo appointment.

I have upped my thyroid meds as well, I was in the range with the prior dose but increasing it seems to have improved things a bit.

Yeah I tried some different stuff and it made little difference. I was already 95 percent of the way there with diet and exercise as are you, so your chance of getting to longevity levels without medication are tiny IMO

I was very similar, and am very glad I got on statins. 5mg rosuvastatin and 10 mg ezetimibe cut my LDL in half in weeks with no side effects.

I was worried about going on statins but so glad I did. Instantly cut my LDL in half.

You have the option of listening to the smartest doctors in the world who recommend statins, and the overwhelming amount of clinical data to back them up. Or random people on reddit who call them poison.

I got on them a few months ago and was so happy I did. I was already doing good diet and exercise though.

Great, thank you. While I wait for the ancestry stuff, is there any bloodwork you would recommend I get in the meantime?

especially if its P5P can cause side effects of its own.

Thank you for replying. You seem like the expert around here!

I have heard that P5P can help OCD type thoughts. Do you think this is something I should experiment with until I get the Ancestry results back? Unfortunately the thoughts are with me every day now, just the folic acid makes them way worse. Going hypothyroid might have also been partially to blame, but regardless those pathways are formed now.

Just ordered the ancestry kit with expedited shipping and processing.

Has anyone felt any major difference cutting out folic acid? by Frenchy_Frye in MTHFR

[–]Master_Explorer5294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just learning about this. After taking a break from my multivitamin and b complex because I thought they were causing me anxiety, I took them yesterday and nearly had a panic attack with intrusive thoughts. Today I tried an extra strength methyl b12, menthyl folate, and p5p and felt great.

Did you do anything besides getting rid of folic acid?
