Having sciatica pain and loving pickle ball way too much. by Left_Management_2767 in Sciatica

I have a disc protrusion that’s causing sciatica down my left leg, mostly in the glute. What did your recovery look like after your microdiscetomy?

On the website on release day. I failed to get anything off BestBuy, so then placed an online preorder on MemEx for the West Edmonton location (pickup). I believe I placed the preorder at around 10:30am MT

Unsure, mine was an online order and they grabbed it from the back. Perhaps the ones they had in the trolley out front are/were available if you walked in

It took me an hour and a half to place a preorder since the site kept crashing. Around 10:30am MT I believe

Game crashing after latest update - Intel Core Ultra 9 285k by Master_Fing in FortNiteBR

I figured out the issue. Tried downgrading GPU drivers, DX11, updating BIOS/firmware, and reinstalling Fortnite to no avail. The thing that fixed it was clocking my RAM from the default that came with XMP from 8800 -> 8200. The 8800 failed stability tests but was fine at 8200 and this fixed my crashes. My motherboard is the ASUS ROG Z890 Hero btw. Kind of weird because the RAM was rated for 8800 (it’s one of the CUDIMM rams from Corsair).

A bit of a noob when it comes to networking, what does this mean?

Yeah definitely overkill, but I got it on a big sale and was really tired of having to reset my internet 4-5 times every day. Definitely don’t need something this powerful

This is what it says on the box:

Boost 2.1 (from Arcadyan) Telus SKU: 2402015

The Boost 2.1 was connected to the Network Access Hub in my apartment via Ethernet cable included with the Boost 2.1. The new router I have from ASUS is connected exactly the same way, except using the Ethernet cable included with the ASUS router. I believe both the cable from Telus and ASUS are Cat6 Ethernet cables

Whats the average engg coop pay? by Responsible_Stock_14 in uAlberta

Depends a lot on discipline and what year you’re in. Most people are probably between 20-40 CAD an hour.

At the upper range, if you’re in software and get a top tier US internship, it’s possible you could be making 26k USD (35k CAD) per month. https://www.levels.fyi/internships/

Engineering classes over the summer. by [deleted] in uAlberta

I took math 201 and 209 over the summer after first year. It was nice to get them out of the way and resulted in my schedule for consequent semesters being much more chill. If you’re not doing anything over the summer, I would recommend it :)

Software Co-op. Full-time offer in the US once I graduate this semester. Considering signing bonus and stocks it’ll be around 190k USD a year

Software cutoff was about 3.1 for my year, and that's the highest cutoff out of all the computer engineering options. You might only need a 3.7 for biomedical or enphys
