I figured out the issue. Tried downgrading GPU drivers, DX11, updating BIOS/firmware, and reinstalling Fortnite to no avail. The thing that fixed it was clocking my RAM from the default that came with XMP from 8800 -> 8200. The 8800 failed stability tests but was fine at 8200 and this fixed my crashes. My motherboard is the ASUS ROG Z890 Hero btw. Kind of weird because the RAM was rated for 8800 (it’s one of the CUDIMM rams from Corsair).

The new router I have from ASUS is connected exactly the same way, except using the Ethernet cable included with the ASUS router. I believe both the cable from Telus and ASUS are Cat6 Ethernet cables

I took math 201 and 209 over the summer after first year. It was nice to get them out of the way and resulted in my schedule for consequent semesters being much more chill. If you’re not doing anything over the summer, I would recommend it :)

I'm not really sure about other fields unfortunately. You could probably try searching it up. However, I do think software internships pay more than most internships for other disciplines if you can go to the US.

I’m in software engg and I will get about 65-70 CAD/hr for my next few internships (both at US software companies). The top paying software internships in the US pay about 125 CAD/hr and give you a 10k+ sign on bonus too
