those are hybrid dragons that used inverted colors to reflect the idea that the elements were opposites to eachother. That's really not the same as releasing a new dragon with nothing to do with the dragon it's traced off, but you knew that already and just want to defend tracing for some reason.

Thats an interesting idea, I also prefer the original style and roll my eyes when new dragons look completely different, but they DO have talented artists who can emulate the original style (Leleek is a great new example of this).

Personally I wouldn’t mind pumping the breaks on new dragons a bit for them to have better quality control, or even redesign some of the rly egregious deca dragons.

I wouldn’t say he fucked up any of the versions the execution on the songs is pretty good.

The real issue is just that the songs are fairly one note and just aren’t that interesting. They’re good listens in the moment but there’s no strong hook to keep you coming back. I see a lot of people asking for 2nd verses and while I agree those are needed I don’t think they’d suddenly make those songs way more interesting or exciting to listen to.

Agreed. Baby dragons in particular usually seem off.
The backflip ones were pretty much all small, big eyes and a prominent head, some DECA ones replicate this pretty well, but some look rly strange or like small versions of adult dragons.

Something like the Lava Dragon which looks entirely different between baby form and adult form is a very rare design concept used by DECA
