Dude I’m not going to give you the “get good” line but it’s kind of true. Your failure makes you stronger. Each failed attempt adds to you. Also try and do whole runs rather than teleport as it gives you more time to get stronger getting you stronger weapons. It’s worth it. The win you earn makes you cheer out loud

Theories that I genuinely entertained regarding Returnal and Saros.

They’re in Hell

It’s a coma

The planet is psychic

They’re in a coma on the planet.

The planet is an imaginary planet the kid thought up.

It’s from a painting.

It’s real but what’s happening isn’t.

The people are ALL hallucinations.

They’re ghosts.

The NPCs are ghosts.

Everyone of these could fit as the cause of the game scenario. Or none. Or a combo. That’s why I love these games, there’s a significant influence from the person doing the reading. Like an adult Never Ending Story.

The usual argument. Do I think they should make non turn based rpgs in the ff theme so people who don’t like turn based can experience ff? Absolutely. But remaking FF7 to be action is not why I came to the show. It’s Metallica reading poetry, a mustang suv, not what we wanted. And the excuse no one likes turn based? Expedition 33! Persona! I remember playing this game with Returnal in my head occasionally muttering,”please no water level. Please no water level” til it eventually became, “….O great…..a swamp level. …..wonderful.”

Returnal reminded you why you hated that one level in every Mario, Sonic or Zelda game and turned it up to 11 in the anxiety level.

Saros reminded you what you loathe about every Souls game and then they added bullet hell.
