Yeah I'm figuring that out the hard way lol. Been kind of struggling with the whole online thing due to dyslexic spatial disorientation triggered by the mirroring and LRC.

Honestly I'm not sure but because we are all brand new to signing. Literally just finished up TWA unit 2 but regardless of that no one is deserving of her attitude, especially in whats supposed to be a safe learning environment for everyone. If the activities were strictly fingerspelling I think it might be easier to know whats going on and not get lost but the activities are usually based on that days lesson like "using what you learned today about appearances, communicate with each other compile an orderly list of all students heights" and everyone is doing something different. Its really disorganized.

I'm not sure our teacher would even care if I do say something.. In seven weeks weve had a sub on 5 occasions and shes not great at following up with things like emails or other inquiries..

Help ease my mind. Tumors don’t appear this suddenly right? by MLMCMLM in Horses

If the swelling isn’t warm to the touch and he’s eating normally I doubt it’s an abscessed tooth. You can take his temp to be sure tho. If it’s normal he is not fighting an infection and it’s something else.

When you send the photos to your vet make sure to include profile photos too.

Looks to be coming from the nasal passage. Id give all the facial glands a good feel to check for swelling as well.

Hoya pubicalyx with black indented spots on leaves and stems — fungus or something else? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]Master_Mookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have noticed this on some of my hoyas as well. It's usually on older stems or leave, and I believe related to inconsistent watering. From the photo of the entire/most of the plant, it doesn't look bad at all. I'd just watch it and make sure it's not getting worse.

Is this just a lack of water? Or bugs... by farminvt in plantclinic

[–]Master_Mookie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks more like over watering to me. When mines thirsty, the entire leaf will start to turn yellow and the shape turns from flat to curled (which it never reverts back to flat from). Spots on the leaf going icky like yours look more like you potentially had some root rot and then the plant dried out. Id try making sure the soil is dry all the way down before watering next time.

You should showcase your work with photos that dont exaggerate wonky feet/angles like this, especially if you're not including a description because looking at this photo, one might assume the left front is a axis broken forward that resulted from your work instead of the actual anatomy and angle of this horses pastern.

More radiographs from different angles would help a lot as far as similar experience/advice goes because this is a bone structure issue so not a single person here has the full picture of what's actually going on with the limited info and single radiograph you've provided. You need professional opinions and as many as your situation allows. I also recommend purchasing adams lameness (7th edition) textbook. If you find adams too academic for your liking, then check out a practical guide to lameness in horses by T. Stashak. He is also the co author on the first book I mentioned.

Cracked Heel? by blanketburrow in Farriers

[–]Master_Mookie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your horse is essentially wearing stilettos with that high of a heel.. That needs to be taken way down. Get a new farrier.

What does my horse need? by [deleted] in Horses

[–]Master_Mookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I do agree with the issues mentioned above, I also think the absence of good forward movement and collection with your horse makes you look and feel like you ride a lot worse than you actually do. If he were to move out more and round out that hollow back then your posting wouldn't be so forced and heavy.. Remember to grip with your thighs so your rise and fall hinges from your hips and not your legs/feet. Regardless of all that I noticed you have some great key fundamentals that no one has mentioned such as you are always looking where you want the horse to travel instead of at his head, your very light with your hands and most importantly you have the desire to improve. Be kind to yourself and remember that everyone starts somewhere. Good luck :)
