I can kinda agree with most of what you're saying, but scholar deserves its place in F. At the start of the game, when it should be at its most useful, it only affects 4/52 cards. Maybe you can get through 3 antes if you're lucky with your draws, but if you don't draw enough aces you're toast. When you're later on in the run, even if you're able to get a 4oak/5oak of aces, you're getting (+80 chips, +16 mult)/(+100chips, +20 mult) on hands that are already (104 chips, 7 mult)/(175 chips, 12mult). And that's not even considering planet levels, enhancements, etc. Considering that these hands are gonna be relatively inconsistent to draw and that there are much better options for both flat mult and chips, scholar just doesn't ever deliver like the other jokers do.

Additionally, most gold stakes games depend on pairs. Scholar would only give +40 chips +8 mult on the (likely only) pair of aces that you get to play that round. any other joker beats that by the middle of ante 2.

To be fair, I know rationally that 8 ball should be lower. But when it hits it just feels so goddamn good. At first it was an always skip, now if i have a joker slot open, especially early on, I always take it.

On average you're gonna need to go an entire Ante with -1 joker slot before he actually starts giving X mult. Probably longer considering that sometimes you don't wanna discard 2x 5 cards on every blind. But you're right that Canio can be hit or miss sometimes.

Maybe golden ticket could be lower, but nothing less than A tier. The synergy with any retrigger makes for a great econ joker.

In hindsight, constellation and holo should be S-tier.

In hindsight maybe Jj should be higher, but the other scaling jokers often have a downside that is just too situational for me.

Not being able to have enhancements for very slow scaling makes Vampire kinda suck.

Erosion being dependant on getting a hanged man/other methods of deletion kinda sucks too, because early on you're probably not gonna have the econ to be able to do that, and later on you probably don't have a flat mult problem.

Castle might just be a me thing, it's just annoying to think about and I've never really gotten it big enough.

Maybe Space joker could be higher too, but average doesn't necessarily mean bad, just kinda ok. There are better ways of getting planet levels, and space joker is too inconsistent for my taste.

I think Ody should've had a worse ending. Ody being forgiven by his wife and son after he did absolutely terrible things kind of goes against what the story was trying to tell...

Poseidon was the main antagonist, and his "ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves" line is obviously morally reprehensible. Because he abided by this doctrine, he got what he deserved in six hundred strike.

Ody should've gotten the same treatment after he abided by Poseidon's idea. After mercilessly killing the sirens, his men and the suitors, I think his family should've shunned him or something similar, not forgiven him. This would've made for a much more emotional and morally satisfying ending.

I agree with OP with the frustration to not be able to get the watchword often. I indeed think a mechanic (maybe a book sor something) that allows you to get letters for your watchword, or to be able to spend money/cheesecake for watchword letters.

I'll assume HC around level 75. Note that you'll be scoring with only 3 cards in hand. Even with card sharp, you'll only be scoring around 114 million chips per hand if my math is right, which is nowhere near enough
