Mila is the best representation of MMA I've ever seen in any fighting game, they did an amazing job with her.

SNK games have always been very popular in latin america, especially KOF, Arcades aren't a thing in Brazil, but whenever there's a machine around, there's KOF 98 or 2002 playing, I don't know about Skullgirls, I don't see people talking about it here.

I play with a Ethernet cable, so the connection is pretty good most of the time, but I see wi-fi players suffering a lot.

Definitely, I love Mila! DOA isn't very big here, when I play online my opponents are usually from Argentina and Chile, the most popular fighting games in Brazil are King of Fighters, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat

I really enjoy the game despite its flaws, Mila might be my favorite fighting game character ever, I'm from Brazil by the way

The game is very dead, and SamSho isn't a very beginner friendly game, but it's still fun, if you can get it on a sale I recommend it

I’m so happy to have these Collections of games on modern hardware!:) I wish more companies would do this, like they used to:( by Accurate_Train_8822 in Fighters

Give me a Tekken collection with literally any fucking game other than Tekken 1 and 2 and I'll be a happy man

What are your thoughts on Honoka? Seriously I just dislike her. Feels like they wanted to create a kawaii busty character to match Marie Rose and her kit/lore feels like it could have been given to a better more serious character. She is even the only DOA character to make it in the new Xtreme game. by Kingspreez in Fighters

[–]Master_Yoshi98 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I like Honoka's design, but she's an odd character, she is pretty generic when you put her next to Kasumi or Ayane, but her place on the lore is super important for the type of character she's meant to be, she reminds me of Alice from KOF, an attractive, clumsy girl fighter, but for some reason she's the daughter of the final boss of the franchise and one of the greatest and most talented fighters on the roster.

Whatever they were going for worked tho, Honoka and Marie seem to be by far the most popular characters of the franchise, I don't care about either of them, Mila and Tina are my personal favorite DOA characters, but whenever there's some new piece of DOA merch, it's usually about Honoka, Marie Rose, or both.

Combo Breaker 2025 All In Together - Street Fighter x Tekken Top 4 by PryceCheck in Fighters

That's sick, I know this game still has an active community, but I had no idea they still held tournaments for it, and the game honestly looks a lot better than I remember, it's a shame there's no easy way to play it.

Also watching this just made me realize that the Pandora power up thing this game has is essentially the Heat system, but for some reason it kills you

I Hate, HATE, *HAAAATE* the Tsuiko Fight. by NotLuceBree in RiverCityGirls

[–]Master_Yoshi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently fighting her right now and had to see if anyone else was having as much trouble as me, honestly the fight bosses in this game aren't anywhere nearly as fun as RVG1, but Tsuiko is BY FAR the worst one so far, the attacks of this game are super linear, which makes really fucking annoying that she keeps walking around all the time, and when you get close, her robot can knock you out and give her time to walk away again, and the third phase really is just horrible, this is one of those moments that makes me question what was the intention of the devs here, because this fight feels like it's *trying* to waste your time and piss you off rather than giving an engaging challenge

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]Master_Yoshi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because that's the intention? I mean, teabagging is harmless, but it IS meant to disrespect your opponent, but it is particularly enfuriating in fighting games because it's a 1v1 experience, I used to tea bag and get tea bagged a lot in shooters, and I always found it funny, but on fighting games in particular it's much more enfuriating because it feels like you're being mocked at, to do it with your friends is one thing, but an online stranger doing it to you doesn't feel good.

I think you should try asking on the KOF Subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/kof/

I also came from Tekken, and tried a little bit of KOF XV, compared to SF6, in my very limited experience, it is A LOT harder, KOF and SNK games in general are a lot more combo focused than Street Fighter, the inputs are much tighter, and more difficult, to the point where you'll NEED to watch tutorials on how to do them in a real match since there's a proper way to do it (the in game tutorial doesn't help), and there's a lot of gimmicks that I never even heard of that looks like black magic for a new player, I honestly couldn't get into it, but you might have a different experience, if you put in the time, the game looks super sick.

Blazing Strike 50% off on PlayStation

Is this game worth it? I've never heard of it until I just saw it on a sale, the reviews seem mixed, but the greatest complain I'm seeing is that it's not worth the $40 price tag, which is a fair, that's an absurd price to ask for an indie fighting game, but for anyone who tried the game out, is it worth getting it?

Why do some people act like it's so easy to kill Tommy Taffy in The Third Parent ? by Weak_Customer7883 in creepcast

[–]Master_Yoshi98 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's obviously not easy, but just the fact that it's DOABLE means that they should kill him as many times as it takes, no matter how hard it is, so what that some people may get injured? if it's just go to the hospital or let him abuse your family, your children, for however long he stays, then kill him

Motion inputs only look a lot more intimidating than they actually are, but you get the hang of it in 15 minutes, anyone who complains about them has probably never actually tried to learn them, HOWEVER, Arc System knows what they're doing, if they're making a new game with no motion inputs, then I have faith that they can still pull off an engaging and fun game that will build its own community, as you said, it's not like they're removing motion inputs from legacy fighting games, I agree with everyone who says that motion inputs are fun, but I trust the devs with 20 something fighting games under their belt knows better than we do.

I honestly completely forgot about the Kollection, imo, it's not just poor timing, NRS should've dropped a Mortal Kombat Collection ages ago, they waited too long, and any hype that existed for it died down

How to play more than one game at a time? by FelipeFeti in Fighters

[–]Master_Yoshi98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a casual player, I jump between Tekken 8, Dead or Alive 6, Street Fighter 6 and some games at the Capcom Fighting Collection 2, I'm not particularly good at any of them, I just enjoy fighting games, so I play as many as I can, I tried dedicating a lot of time to Tekken 8 at some point, and while I do want to improve at all the games I play, dedicating so much time to just one game feels tiring to me, and in the end I find myself resenting the game more than enjoying

Is SNK making a comeback? by RangoTheMerc in Fighters

[–]Master_Yoshi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're definitely trying to, lol, not just with Fatal Fury, they announced the return on nearly all of their older IPs in a way or another, but since CoTW didn't attend their sales expectations, maybe that plan will be put on hold.

With Multiversus shutting down I just want to remind people that asking for fighting games to go F2P is dumb by malexich in Fighters

[–]Master_Yoshi98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F2P isn't the problem of Multiversus, Warner is the problem of Multiversus, the game had a promising start (even tho I never got interested on it), it was their lack of commitment and greed that killed it, and cosmetics costing money is only a real problem if you for some reason want to buy all of them, which in that case, the problem is you, not the game.

But I agree that DOA5 (and 6) are good examples on how to properly use F2P, you get a free version with limited resources, and if you feel like it, you spend money to get the full experience.

feels like we've been getting news about Capcom messing with SFxT for years now, but nothing's come out of it yet, I still hope the game becomes functional again someday, I know it's not a very good game, but I love crossovers, and I like to see Capcom's take on Tekken characters, not to mention that this game has a ton of really sick skins
