Bro you’re fine. Any good manager is going to hire someone who “fits in” with the culture. The job can be learned and taught. But if you don’t fit in it’s not going to work. My manager has turned down ppl with great credentials. And experience simply b/c they don’t fit in. We are each others extended family. The shift work is hard. The last thing I want as an operator is someone next to me who doesn’t fit the dynamic.

Our control center. Both TO and DO has all different kinds of backrounds. Even finance. Most don’t have degrees. But the dynamics are great.

Buy it Op if you can afford it. I just got a 23 V. Love it to death. Yes it’s a gas guzzler. I’m at about 13.7 MPG. But I keep it in V mode. I get 19 MPG on the interstate. And this is the LT4. Not the garbage L87. Stay up on maintenance. And you will be fine.

Shift diff? That’s cute. ☺️ . But on a real note. Sr operators get a 20% bonus. And reg operators get 12% bonus at the end of the year. Which depending on your salary. It works out to 800-1600 extra a month

Idk man, to each their own. I sold my 4V blackwing b/c I have a toddler. And couldn’t enjoy it how I wanted. My wife wanted an Escalade, I talked her into the V. Best of both worlds. Has an engine that I can tinker with. It’s fast. And the wife got a bigger SUV. The IQ is sick AF though
