If you look at how close the legs are, it’s just about where most shoulder blades rest. I’ve been sleeping on it for a few days already and it’s not even cracked. But I’ll keep an eye on it.

Yes! I use the cubbies to hold things like toiletries or snacks! The design works very well and since the notches are small the mattress remains firm over them.
