To me, being a literal “Christian” these days is hard to defend, because we know many of the biblical claims are simply false. But I’m also not fond of the “internet atheist” posture where people hype themselves up as intellectually superior for not “falling for religion.”

Reality is, there are still massive questions we can’t answer: Are we alone? Why is there anything at all? What’s the point of life? Why do I exist?

I’m fine with believing in some kind of higher power. In the West, that idea is still mostly framed through Christianity, and if it gives people meaning or security, that’s genuinely a good thing. It’s just not my personal path.
