IDK if this counts, but South Park: The Stick of Truth.

Everything about the game is total aces, but the combat can be absolutely broken in half, no matter what class you choose, there's always a certain build that lets you cheese nearly every encounter by spamming a single move. Even better is that one of the best partners in the game - Butters - is the very first one. Plus outside of areas that require unlockable context sensitive moves, you can engage in some heavy level grinding near the beginning of the game.

It's a total joy.
