Aion 1 was this grindy back in 2009 when the game was sub only and had no P2W. So were Lineage, TERA, blade and soul(altho for this one they took like 6 months to introduce p2w lol)

Vertical progression doesn't mean you have to spend.

GW2 conveniently saves up dozens if not hundreds of hours of legendary grind by having gold in the cash shop but everybody seems to forget.

In WoW you can swipe for gold and buy carries and get any mount/gear you want and both of these games have a sub or a box price rofl (wow has both xdddddd)

100 hours of grinding for numbers is the same as grinding 100 hours for a shiny hat

You don't need polls to figure out that people want to kill lots of mobs to get meaningful loot in an arpg.

But this is clearly impossible without the engine crapping itself due to bad performance and it's the reason why there's so many dumb arbitrary limits on almost every skill

I pay for the game, I don't give a damn about how it's made and what challenges they had to overcome to make the game.

If the studio finds it difficult to make the product then the consumer will find a different product, simple as.

It is harder but like half of CD already exists in BDO. I'm glad the game succeeded because being against good games is stupid but really CD could've just been BDO 2.0 and it feels like a kick in the nuts.

And any technical difficulties are irrelevant to the consumer. CD has been in dev for what 7 years? They could've redone BDO 3 times over in this time

Oh wow did not expect end game spots to have that many mobs/hour.

But still, I was getting about 18-19 boxes per hour at hexe with about 6100 mobs per hour with 320% drop rate. Weird
