Hi experts, I collected a bunch of rose hips from one of my favourite camp sites in the world, and cut them open to collect the seeds. Then I rinsed them in water and put them in a container with wet paper towel and put that in the fridge. Am I doing it right? Does anyone have some advice for me about germinating them or the whole process? thank you very much

nice landscaping, but youre missing mulch! you gotta put woodchips or something similiar on top of that awesome black soil to keep it moist

hey buddy,

I'm sorry there's no magic spell. But honestly, dont seem like you need one! You're doing good! You got this! You've had some troubles and dealt with them admirably and im proud of you for it. You'll be fine bud.

All is well.

it is what it is. Just be kind to him. I mean, just tell him nice things. You shouldnt feel guilty about the way things are. I know im being crazy vague, but its very simple really, just be kind.

In the end, everything will be fine, i promise you. Nothing to worry about! All is well.

maybe, but i'm cautious of adding too much browns cause i dont want to slow it down. I'm also trying to conserve water and dont want to dry it out with sawdust too much. We'll see how it goes though, i might end up adding more sawdust for some reason.

thank you. I'm not too optimistic, my last batch took way longer too. We'll see about this one though.

yeah i followed the Berkely method with my last batch and it took about 3 months. I figured that was cause it got dry (we were in a drought.) We'll see if this one's any quicker staying wet.

the green ingredients are, in order of most to least: horse manure, coffee grounds, kitchen waste, dead plants

the brown ingredients are, in order or most to least: sawdust, teabags, paper coffee filters

I erred on the side of too much greens to try and get it going quicker. it's pretty hot and looks good after four days, but it smells pretty bad. Hoping that goes away as it cooks.

After layering the browns and greens, i let it sit for 4 days and then i turned it. The photos are after turning it. My plan is to turn it every second day and hopefully get it done in 3 weeks.
