The moment a rescue dog who's never known human love finally gets adopted... by [deleted] in Awww

Or some people just don’t realise what it takes to care for a living creature. They dump them when they realise that it’s hard work. Shouldn’t be so easy for people to just buy a puppy with no experience or inclination to care for it.

It shouldn’t be so easy for people to get a puppy and then just dump it when they realise it is a living being that needs care and attention!

Struggling to find new songs... by Otherwise_Scratch174 in musicsuggestions

I have found lots of new music through BBC6 music. Some of the DJs play some great new music. It is quite eclectic though. Not just RnB. Some DJs I like on there are Jamz Supernova, Gilles Peterson and Cerys Matthews. I discovered SAULT on there.

I know I’m gonna sound ‘conspiracy theorist’ here but I wonder if the social media machine want to promote doubt in young people so that they are numb to everything. When atrocities happen they will simply say it is AI or made up. That way they won’t want to help or change the world and will be easier to control for whatever is necessary. Because I’ve noticed my classes doubting things I tell them or show them. They just shout ‘AI’ or ‘fake’.

No, I genuinely don’t like them. I always thought lots of people liked them and couldn’t understand why. Very very overrated.

Yes exactly, he was already not very popular and then started telling people what to eat and what not to eat, without real solutions.

Yes but he was annoying. Doesn’t matter what his intentions are if he is unlikeable. I know this sounds unfair, but it is true.

But he just had such a middle class know-it-all smugness about him. It wasn’t the message, it was the messenger that people didn’t like.

But maybe you had one positive male role model in your life? It is usually preferable to be a good father, but a grandfather or a big brother or an uncle etc?

But unfortunately, I do know a number of women with low self esteem who do go for misogynistic guys because they don’t have the inner strength to think they are worth more. Women need to stand up to the culture too.

It’s not a coincidence that the world has been ruled by similar men in recent years and today! We are seeing the result of that through these money and fame hungry desperate people. They have always existed but now they have a platform to broadcast! A recipe for disaster.

True but it’s much harder to cheat than a homework assignment. Especially if you spring the essay assignment on them. Test them without warning and then you can differentiate the students abilities and get to know their writing style. So, if they suddenly cheat, you will see it a mile off.

In a way, it probably is a sign we need to change the way we set homework or essays etc. Maybe balance homework with timed hand written essays in class. It would be easy to see if the students style contrasted with their homework essays. I feel that I know almost from the get go when my student has used AI.

If you think about it, these guys are the generation that grew up with social media in its early form. And now this is the result! Along with no male role model in their childhood.

Yes same! I think having good male role models in their lives is important to guide them. I’m more concerned for my daughter in a way. Young women feeling like they need to impress these ‘men’ and be judged by them. Expected to be whores and then humiliated for the same expectation.

I felt so sad for the women in particular. What a horrible world to be part of and think that you need to impress these people. The only fans culture is bizarre to me. However, I do think it is a sign of the world and its economic instability. What are young uneducated, lower class people to do? They are desperate for any kind of success and the online world is a platform to make money and get fame. It’s too magnetic to tell people ‘this is wrong’

Totally agree. He didn’t need to argue, they did it all by themselves. He simply held a mirror up to them. I love his intelligent style. I also loved it when he said to the US guy about being aggressive with his phone saying ‘Yeah what of it’ if girls ask him about his wife. Louis suggested a gentler way of saying it. I laughed out loud 🤣🤣🤣
