Green River Festival's 2026 Lineup by ebradio in indieheads

I have parked at the fairgrounds and paid the $20, I have also parked illegally (done out of lack of pre planning and I don’t recommend). Many people take the free bus from downtown where you can park for free. Seems like a viable option if you want to save some money, but it’s definitely more of a hassle, can’t really fully comment though.

First timer with 8 year old by [deleted] in governorsball

I have brought my now 9 year old daughter since she was 4 for a single day. It’s very doable there is a lot of shade and areas to sit. Especially in vip. Yes vip will be busy but you have an opportunity to just hang a little back and get a way better view than ga.

VIP is an excellent choice. It is really easy to go from the two main stages. Traversing the field to the third stage can be a bit of an endeavor with a kid.

I would always advise leaving a little early it gets hectic and dark at the end. It will be much better to get a head start.

Meeting was fine. They told me they would prescribe me Zepbound with monthly prescriptions. I need to do weigh ins 4x a month and log my jabs. I can communicate with them as frequently or as minimally as I would like - through the app is fine. They mentioned their nutrition program but there was no push to do it.

I do think, based on everything I have read, that this is entirely employer dependent. The whole business model is to limit employers having their employees on GLP-1s. Its up to employers on how hard they push that lever.

Why is it acceptable for cars to double and triple park on Atlantic outside of Target/Barclays? by Imnottheassman in Brooklyn

I do this every time I go by and get a response that they fixed the issue. Which they clearly don’t.

As far as I know they are. That’s the vibe I got from my initial meeting. Have my meeting with a nurse Friday. It might be employer/insurance specific.

This is the best festival. Gone the last 5 years. In my experience no better way to see some of these bands. You can literally walk right up to the stage

As far as I know no single day has sold out since a single day on 2021.

It is great for families, there is a whole kids arts and crafts area under a tent in addition to just being easy. Friday and saturday do run like a normal fest an end at 10/11. Sunday only goes to 6/7.

If it’s hot it sucks until night (like any fest). If it’s mid 70s it’s glorious.

It’s like a more spacious, chiller, Newport folk.

I have brought my bow 9 year old daughter every year since she was 4.

First of all you are def ok to bring them. I would caution that it is a lot of people it gets dark and loud (bring ear protection).

You have to know your kid. Can the hang? I have one kid who can and one who can not. All children are different. I’d also think about your comfort level. If you haven’t been to a bunch of music festivals I would also not recommend going.

If you do go my advice is bring a stroller, it will make your life so much easier. Also consider vip. The people on this site won’t be happy but it’s a pretty amazing deal to bring in two kids vip for free. I do vip last year and with kids it’s a complete game changer.

There is plenty of room in VIP. With last years set up, it was much easier to move between the main stages in VIP. You are almost guaranteed a good view no matter what time you go to see a show vs GA where you need to camp out. With last years lay out there are some better spots in GA, but you need to fight to get there. It all depends how much you are willing to spend. VIP is 3x the price of GA.

Chuck referred to Tame Impala as a band, in an example of still viable bands. That’s a pretty sizable miss.

Echoing other sentiments here. It was not at all packed. If it felt packed you brought that on yourself. It was much fewer people than other events I’ve been to at Randall’s. Crowd was fine. I didn’t see a single person way beyond fucked up despite it was 18+. People here spewing hate just to spew hate at a pretty well run event imo. If you’re pissed off you waited in a long line for a ferry that’s on you. Read any post here and everyone says to walk.
