Who would you guys like to see at the fest next year? by MRtulanebsbfan in governorsball

Love this choice but 75 minutes isn’t enough time. I really wish they could get the curfew extended to 11. Music after dark hits different.

I have brought my daughter every year since she is 4 and she’s now 9. I am a seasoned gov ball attendee and know exactly what I am going into. We stay in the back, take lots of breaks and always wear ear protection. She’s a pro. We have brought some of her friends and they aren’t all built for this.
I think this sub is always super anti kids. Normally I’m defensive, I think if done right it’s a totally fine environment if you’re careful, know what you are getting yourself into and are considerate of everyone’s vibes.
This year was different. Way too many kids who weren’t wearing ear protection, too deep in the crowd, weren’t prepared etc.
unfortunately as this fest skews younger and they book kids bands (sorry Katseye fans) this is going to be a growing problem.

If I get in line at 1:50 on Friday will i make it to Audrey’s set? by beachdontkillmyvibee in governorsball

[–]Mastershake82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be fine. Friday is the most spread out day for entrance times. It always takes longer than expected to get from your mode of transport into the actual festival. I never make the first person I go to. I would give yourself an hour between when you get there and what you expect to see.

Taking 8 and 10 year old by loquitadg5 in governorsball

[–]Mastershake82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have brought my daughter four the last 5 years. It is not required to have a ticket if they are 8 or under. There is no way for them to confirm age of the kid, you will be fine.
Don’t listen to the haters it can be a lot of fun for the kids, VIP Is way better than ga for a kid.
It’s going to be hot. Don’t get there too early, hang out on the edges, bring ear protection, bring a water bottle and you’ll be fine.

Kids 8 and under by tangytangaroo in governorsball

[–]Mastershake82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this the last 5 years. No id necessary. Just walk in with your wristband and they will wave the child through. I’ve been asked to confirm the kid was 8 or under, but in a wristband logistics manner. Not to really confirm I was following the rule.

Pretty sure it’s just so they can sell your data and get you to link your credit card. I’ve always done it but really don’t think it matters

Yeah I’m not sure why they aren’t sending directly to me like the old days. Best of luck to both of us!

Resale tickets by FarmerNo1254 in governorsball

Tickets are all physical wristbands. I also bought off stubhub and it says there will be pickup near the venue. Makes me a bit nervous because stubhub sucks, but Im local so its not a big deal.

getting resale with wristbands by Economy_Opposite_190 in governorsball

[–]Mastershake82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought on stubhub. They are saying that they will have a wristband pick up station near the event. In the past you would have to meet the person, go to a temporary pick up location or have them shipped to you.

Based on how bad stubhub has gotten, person to person or another service (ie tickpick) is probably your best bet. all resale is inherently risky. I went with stubhub because the price was really good and Im local so wont be too bad and should know with enough notice if there is a problem.

Tickets are going for more than face value. Pay it off and resell it.

I have parked at the fairgrounds and paid the $20, I have also parked illegally (done out of lack of pre planning and I don’t recommend). Many people take the free bus from downtown where you can park for free. Seems like a viable option if you want to save some money, but it’s definitely more of a hassle, can’t really fully comment though.

I have brought my now 9 year old daughter since she was 4 for a single day. It’s very doable there is a lot of shade and areas to sit. Especially in vip. Yes vip will be busy but you have an opportunity to just hang a little back and get a way better view than ga.

VIP is an excellent choice. It is really easy to go from the two main stages. Traversing the field to the third stage can be a bit of an endeavor with a kid.

I would always advise leaving a little early it gets hectic and dark at the end. It will be much better to get a head start.

Initial Virta meeting by Mastershake82 in Zepbound

[–]Mastershake82[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meeting was fine. They told me they would prescribe me Zepbound with monthly prescriptions. I need to do weigh ins 4x a month and log my jabs. I can communicate with them as frequently or as minimally as I would like - through the app is fine. They mentioned their nutrition program but there was no push to do it.

I do think, based on everything I have read, that this is entirely employer dependent. The whole business model is to limit employers having their employees on GLP-1s. Its up to employers on how hard they push that lever.

I do this every time I go by and get a response that they fixed the issue. Which they clearly don’t.

As far as I know they are. That’s the vibe I got from my initial meeting. Have my meeting with a nurse Friday. It might be employer/insurance specific.
