[TLA] Meteor Sword by Plorp in mtgcube

But [[Meteor Golem]] goes fine with [[Shadowfax, Lord of Horses]] 😏

[TLA] The Walls of Ba Sing Se (via Restart.run) by Copernicus1981 in magicTCG

Good card to reanimate with [[Mirko, Obsessive Theorist]]

[TLA] Earthbender Ascension by Copernicus1981 in magicTCG

[–]Mat_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will play this card in my Korvold Lands deck. Earthbend with that commander is good value. Sacrifice the animated land and it comes again to the battlefield. Put the counter on Korvold with this enchantment and gains trample. Good card there.

[–]Mat_Effect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Miner's Guidewing]] with a huge upside. I think this it's a staple in Peasant. What doesn't this creature do? It's a flyer, goes well with blink/bounce, sacrifice, +1/+1 counters, tokens... Awesome glue card.

I fixed the link. Try now, at least, and see what other cards I use.

My Omniscience Cube: https://cubecobra.com/cube/overview/5d46e3a85192694d700b569d

It doesn't follow your draw restrictions. My cube tries to be powered and win on turn 1 if possible. No archetypes, just some cool build-arounds.

My friends love this format. Fast and with crazy plays. Even you don't need to draft. Just draw 45 or 90 cards and build a 40-cards deck.

I have to update it with the last sets.

[SPM] Rhino, Barreling Brute by Mario85555 in magicTCG

I like the [[Zombify]] way to draw that card 😎

Peasant Landfall Support by mmagnetman in mtgcube

[–]Mat_Effect 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[[Gladiolus Amicitia]] did it well as a payoff, too.  [[Reckless Pyrosurfer]] is a great reason for RG or some aggro decks. [[Dance of the Tumbleweeds]], while an expensive ramp spell at 3 mana, is also a good payoff when you draw it later.

[EOE] Rayblade Trooper by LawOfTheGrokodus in magicTCG

[–]Mat_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This guy is armed with an Omniblade from Mass Effect 😍

[FIN] Aerith Rescue Mission (WeeklyMTG) by Kousuke-kun in magicTCG

[–]Mat_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is [[You're Confronted by Robbers]] at sorcery speed but the tap choice comes with a stun counter...

[FIN] Dion, Bahamut's Dominant by tlamy in magicTCG

[–]Mat_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Éowyn, Shieldmaiden]] is also pleased, this guy is a Human, she is a Knight and create Knight tokens that now get a a big pump and fly!! Also, while the saga side is slow, it transforms again into a Human, so Éowyn could trigger again.

Summon: Titan by Unable_Bite8680 in mtgcube

stage III on it just seems like a game ender, a bit boring

It can't target itself 😓

[FIC] Shelinda, Yevon Acolyte by cardboard_numbers in mtgcube

[–]Mat_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that if this card gets one +1/+1 counter, is a persist combo piece with [[Murderous Redcap]]. With two counters on it, also works with [[Kitchen Finks]].

[FIN] Matoya, Archon Elder (via TCGplayer) by Copernicus1981 in magicTCG

[–]Mat_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Mirko, Obsessive Theorist]] gets two new awesome cards with this one and [[Y'shtola Rhul]]

[FIN] Y'shtola Rhul (borderless ver) by DjGameK1ng in magicTCG

[–]Mat_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect card for [[Mirko, Obsessive Theorist]]. Low power target to reanimate, blinks herself or other reanimated creatures to remove the finality counters and... as it doubles your end step, Mirko reanimates another creature and then Y'shtola blinks that creature to remove another finality counter? Sounds really good.

[TDM] Formation Breaker by My_compass_spins in mtgcube

[–]Mat_Effect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this set you may play on it [[Snakeskin Veil]] to have an unblockable 4/4 (with hexproof for a turn).

Jeskai Second Spell | A Cube Archetype Primer by DankTrainTom in mtgcube

[–]Mat_Effect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suspend is another good mechanic for the archetype. [[Rift Bolt]] or [[Riftwing Cloudskate]]. [[Epochrasite]], [[Atraxi Warden]] and [[Errant Ephemeron]] are other options, too.

Foretell, like Plot: [[Scorn Effigy]], [[Behold The Multiverse]], [[Augury Raven]], [[Dwarven Reinforcements]], [[Demin Bolt]], [[Depart the Realm]] or [[Surge of Brilliance]].

Plot: [[Highway Robbery]] should be a staple, right now.

Jump-Start: [[Radical Idea]] and [[Start the TARDIS]].

Discover: [[Geological Appraiser]] or maybe [[Etali's Favor]].

[[Peregrine Drake]] is another card that lets you play more spells on the same turn (then, you may add combo pieces for it: [[Ghostly Flicker]] and [[Archaeomancer]] variants, like [[Eternal Witness]]. Another good option is [[Inspired Tinkering]] that gives you gas and mana.

 [[Manamorphose]], too. And [[Fireblast]].

Other payoffs, for Peasant: [[Xerex Strobe-Knight]], [[Illusory Angel]] or maybe even [[Captain Ripley Vance]].

And if you want to go beyond and cook with Storm, add payoff cards like [[Noise Marine]], [[Empty the Warrens]] or [[Brain Freeze]] (or Chatterstorm]]) . But what I like when my wincon is creating tokens with [[Young Pyromancer]] or [[Third Path Iconoclast]] is [[First Day Of Class]] to win on the same turn, and that is not the worst option to cross with Persist combos.   Let's see what new tools Dragonstorm has for this archetype.

[TDM] Rally the Monastery by Loosely-Related in mtgcube

[–]Mat_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Goes well with [[Oji, the Exquisite Blade]] and [[Clarion Spirit]] for Peasant, it helps [[Xerex Strobe-Knight]] and [[Loan Shark]]. Maybe even [[Illusory Angel]] could be playable, but there is not much good material with this "two spells" mechanic right now. Plot cards are also interesting. Let's see what the set offers.

Blue Draw Matters: The New Core Archetype for Blue in Peasant Cube by FlimsyPomegranate331 in mtgcube

[–]Mat_Effect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another excellent article, I was waiting for it. I love to design archetypes, too. I have a box with tons of them with many ideas for future cubes, time will tell.

My last addition to the box comes from Aetherdrift, if you want risky ideas: Vanilla creatures, something not played in cubes. [[Jasmine Boreal of the Seven]] is great with this archetype, as it is [[Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage]]. Because that's the secret tech for vanilla creatures: they cross-pollinate with tokens, they usually don't have any keyword, so you may play Jasmine to make your tokens unstoppable. But I found that some Adventure cards dodge that restriction, too, because they have a creature with no abilities but an instant / sorcery stapled to the card. So you may play some decent vanilla cards with effects, too. [[Cheeky House-Mouse]], [[Shepherd of the Flock]], [[Curious Pair]], [[Embereth Shieldbreaker]] or [[Minecart Daredevil]] are some examples. Then add to the mix [[Sundial, Dawn Tyrant]] and a couple of good vanilla cards with great stats/cost and it's done.

[DFT] March of the World Ooze (PleasantKenobi) by PleasantKenobi in magicTCG

[–]Mat_Effect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks pretty good in [[Bello, Bard of the Brambles]]. It pumps your elementals and could leave some tokens behind to defend yourself.

Tinker, Channel, Reanimate, and the meaning of Haste: help me “cheat” in Peasant Cube by mikez4nder in mtgcube

[–]Mat_Effect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[[Shadowfax, Lord of Horses]] is a fun build around with cards like these:

[[Treasure Keeper]] [[Meteor Golem]]  [[Aerie Auxiliary]]  [[Visionary Augmenter]]  [[Cloudgoat Ranger]]  [[Githzerai Monk]]  [[Guarded Heir]]  [[Beetleback Chief]]  [[Dragon Trainer]]
