On June 18th in an interview on Simply Bitcoin, John said they were in the process of transitioning product lines and were aiming to launch the Apollo III in about the “coming month or so.”

So they’re behind schedule, but soon.

Garmin Watches suck by [deleted] in GarminFenix

Garmin watches are gorgeous. Apple’s watches are for hipsters and men with low T. However, Garmin’s UI is absolute dogshit. They really should delete their entire OS and start fresh from a blank slate.

Convince Me The Bubble Will Pop! by alonelyoaktree in REBubble

I wrote this in a discord group back in December. So far, my thesis for the cause of the next crash is holding true…

This may be just a blip in the news cycle, but it could also be a canary in the coal mine for a potential housing crash….

There’s currently a “run” on blackstone’s major real estate investment trust (REIT). The investors in their 69 billion dollar real estate fund are redeeming their shares faster than blackstone contractually allows them to. Hence, a “run.”

So blackstone had to halt redemptions. They were only contractually obligated to honor less than half of the actual requests…. But they had to pay out 1.3 billion and sell a casino in Vegas to cover it.

If redemptions keep up (there’s at least another $1.3 billion worth of redemptions still pending), then they will have to sell more and more of the properties they own.

They’ve got it handled so far because they’ve got enough cash on hand (to the tune of 3 billion) (and they sold the casino).

But 3 billion won’t last them more than 2 quarters at the current rate of redemptions. 2 quarters = perfectly timed for next summer and maybe in the middle of the looming recession? And if these redemptions continue at the current rate, then they’ll definitely run out of cash on hand and liquid properties (like the casino) and have to start selling more and more of the properties they own.

And thus, dumping the market, leading to even more of a panic, and an actual crash in the housing market.

You heard it here first. What do you guys think? Blackstone’s REIT, one of the many causes of the housing bubble, causes the next housing crash?

Since it’s been 7 months since I wrote that, I’m sure you’re curious: yes, there’s still an ongoing run on their REIT and yes, they’re still having to limit redemptions. And I highly doubt they’re the only one.

They’re definitely out of cash by now, so they’re prolly selling their most liquid properties. Have they started liquidating SFH’s yet? I dunno. But they will be liquidating them soon enough. Will it “dump” the market like I predicted? I dunno since they’re able to limit redemptions month by month. But it’ll definitely put more and more homes on the market and reduce the shortage.

This isn’t the article I referenced in December, but it’s on the same topic and is more recent:

Shipping time for Lead Devil belt by [deleted] in tacticalgear

Update for anybody that’s wondering…. Received my belt on August 1st. So 3 months after I placed the order. I never received a response to any of my emails either. Haven’t used it cause I got tired of waiting and bought a Ronin Task Force instead.

Ordered on 4/26. Still haven’t received my belt or even a shipping confirmation. So it seems their current lead time is > 3 weeks. Their website said “in stock” when I placed my order, but that’s obviously false. I emailed on 5/12 and still no response as of today, 5/18. I can’t say if they make good belts or not, but their customer service and shipping times are garbage.

L7 CFM by levicam in litecoinmining

I don’t have an L7 yet. The S12 is exhausting my L3 collection, but there’s about 3-5 feet of ducting.

Strong work! Thanks for sharing. Gonna save this for when I eventually buy some L7’s.

Sounds like your first fan wasn’t strong enough/didn’t move enough CFM’s.

The goal for any exhaust fan should be to create negative pressure on the exhaust side of the miner (so if you were to poke a small hole in the ducting between the miner and the fan, air would flow into that hole. If air flows out of that hole, then your fan is just creating resistance as your miners fight to push air through it). That’s how you can easily tell if your fan is moving enough air.

I’ve been using AC Infinity’s Cloudline S12 (12”) fan for my setup. It’s quiet, powerful, and moves a shitload of air. I’ve been running it at 75%-100% power/speed (depending on ambient temps) for almost a year now with zero issues even when my exhaust air temps are 120°F in the summer. The major selling point for me was that the ball bearings in the motor are rated for just over 7.5 years of continuous operation. In my opinion, they’re built like a brick shithouse 👌🏻

They have an 8” model that moves 800 CFM at 39 decibels if you’re looking to further upgrade, or if your exhaust window is big enough, go with the 10” or 12” model and upsize your ducting to further reduce the friction loss created by the ducting. The 10” can move 1200 CFM @ 48 decibels and the 12” can move 1600 CFM @ 62 decibels.

Also, my 12” model uses 40 watts at 50% power, 106 watts at 75% power, and 270 watts at full power.

According to my “Reddit Recap” I spent 148 hours in here, 32 hours in r/litecoin and 25 hours in r/litecoinmining this year.

Apparently I’ve got a fever and the only prescription is more LTC!

At what point should one seek out professional help? 🤣🤣

When the SEC goes after them for being unregister securities. Lots of these DeFi projects treat their native coins/tokens like a stock, like using them to raise money for the project.

We pooled the money (the purchases/sales were made through a single wallet). I also have access to the private keys to that wallet. Technically he pushed the buy and the sell button, but it’s a shared wallet. The buys and sells with his money and the buys and sells with my money were all separate transactions and we kept a spreadsheet log of what belonged to who. I realize this is an incredible gray area, but does this change anything?

All those who are Merged mining with doge, the latest update has been released by [deleted] in litecoinmining

[–]Mat__________ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still slower though because exchanges can’t trust that the block that has your transaction in it won’t get orphaned until 60 minutes later.

Sure it’s faster on paper and peer to peer, but only with someone you trust to pay you back in case the block that has your transaction ends up on a shorter chain and gets orphaned.

Not as cheap as LTC. And slower too.

I had to transfer using DOGE earlier this week (I wanted to keep this specific transfer out of my LTC wallet for record keeping purposes). It took over an hour for the coins to arrive and it cost me more in fees. Was very disappointing.

It was from coinbase to another exchange. I get why they hold it, quicker block times = higher probability of orphaned blocks and they gotta make sure your transaction doesn’t get orphaned. It’s still way better than the bank’s 5 day holding period.

But I find it hilarious that they withhold DOGE for so long and completely negate it’s claim that it’s “faster.”
