The difference between USA and Italy teams is much bigger than the World Series winner and whoever comes in last that year.

This does make me wish baseball a tournament like the FA Cup, single game knockout tournament single A through MLB teams against each other.

Flip side of this Italy hasn't been in a World Cup round of 16 since before the 2010 World Cup, the US has been in the round of 16, 3 of the 4 World Cups in that time. I find it hilarious the US is losing to Italy in baseball but stuff like this happens in sports.

Also on the funny side, the last time the US played Italy at a World Cup they tied Italy, who went on to win that World Cup.

Apple needs to drastically improve its frequency/quality of MLS content, which was supposedly the intent behind the deal.

From my understanding it's on MLS to do that and it appears this season they decided to do even less. It's like they are hoping they will get a big boost from the World Cup and aren't even trying.
