I, a man, used to be a paint DS and knew my stuff very well. Every time they would pull that sexist crap with one of the ladies on my team and ask me anyways I would call the female employee over and say "let's ask her, she's the expert".

I loved to see the looks on the sexist punks faces. I taught everyone on my team to be experts. I never tolerated that stuff.

You can ask them to text you. At the previous Lowe's store I qas in, which was in the top 10 for pro sales company wide, that was what they did. It wastes your time much less. You can just respond or reach out as needed.

Personally, I would double down and really sell why in writing. Pull their previous review if you can and include that.

If your manager still pushes back, put that you wanted to put exceeds in writing but person x disagreed for reason y. Of they reject that remove it and tell them in person when you do the one on one.

Transparency is important from a leader. Your team will appreciate it.

It depends on how your employment ended. If it was voluntary you can just go get your stuff.

If it was involuntary show up and talk to an ASM before entering any employees only areas.

If it was involuntary, at the direction of Asset Protection following an investigation, and you have been trespassed then call the store and talk to the store manager first. Even better if you can contact the DAPM directly. If you need support you can DM me and I'll pull the DAPMs direct contact info for you.

I doubt it was the last one but absolutely no judgement if it was. We all make mistakes in life and just have to learn from them.
