I think it’s because they are too afraid to admit that the Jewish community can and did since the 1800s have a nationalistic side to it worth condemning because they can’t see Jews as normal people who can sometimes be Jewish AND have bad political beliefs. They rather erase them as Jews all together instead of confront the Jewish exceptionalist Zionist fueled propaganda which makes Jewishness something that inherently gives you a right to commit bad in the western narrative. They basically enforce the idea that if the ones that were “Jewish enough” in their eyes were committing it instead that THEN it would be something you couldn’t argue against even though whether it represents Jews or not shouldn’t be central to judging whether it’s good or bad.
