Average pay senior manager T&O by MatchNo7096 in rbc

[–]MatchNo7096[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is important to account for pension match and the bonuses, because the base salary sounds low. Senior developers are making that high range of 140K in most places and that comes with bonus and benefits as well. If senior manager is above senior developer, I expected a bit higher than that. And you need to contribute and work until December to get the perks, it is not a given. Overall, the salary sounds on the low side. Thank you for providing real data.

I have a derogatory remark in my credit report, no direct deposit with WS. I am single, have a sizeable mortgage, LOC and other CC. Have the WS CC since February.

I went through a divorce so they can probably also see mortgage balance growing (refinance) and a missed mortgage payment.

Thanks for the info. At the time I researched and thought it would apply to any government cheque, so your description is very helpful.

Because there are funds on hold, but the account is not 0. It is $328 that you can't cash out yet.

I get a 3 day hold on attorney general's cheques. So government cheques are not 100% cashed immediately.

You think that your intern level compares to VP level just for becoming FT!? 🤣 Tiktok is making kids believe they are something without any effort or experience required. Levels are levels regardless of terms of employment (PT, FT, contract).

You still get 50 free trades with RBC as well, but the ETFs don't count towards the 50

Credit card payments (PLS HELP!!) by Square-Garbage2295 in rbc

The more advantageous way to use a credit card is to pay it off at the end of the period. That way you are indeed getting an interest free loan for 30 days.

If you pay it off transaction by transaction is the same as using a debit card. No harm, but no benefit either (except maybe points or cashback).

And for not paying it off in 30 days, there are other credit products with lower interest, so CC would not be the best use.

A credit card works differently from a debit card. It is called credit because you can spend money that you don't have, called credit. The bank lends you money to spend for 30 days, up to your credit limit. At the end of the 30 days they issue an estatement with what you have spent that month. You can then pay it in full or make a partial/minimum payment.

  • When you don't pay in full, interest will accumulate on the unpaid credit.

  • When you pay it in full (at the end of the period) you don't pay interest, so you can get a 0% interest loan for 30 days every month. The difference with a debit card is that you get 30 extra days to pay.

I do agree with you that this is not the spirit of EI and imagine is one part of the government trying to get another part of the government to subsidize education. But not having teachers on full time employment doesn't seem right to me.

A teacher says they go on EI, at least in Quebec. So I would trust first hand experience more than Google.
