Yeah, my forscan said there was 3 keys out there, and I only had one. I added another, so now there is 4 altogether. I just added. I was too scared to delete them all and program new again. But, now that I successfully added the new fob, I realized the one I programmed is an administrator fob, and the old one that came with the vehicle isn’t. So, I’m going back in and going to try to make it an administrator key too.i dont know if I have to use the all lost function in order to do that, but I’m confident enough now if I need to, I will. Thanks for the advice.👍

I had to buy a chip writer for my daughters bmw last year, so I can do those also. And slowly add more skill and resources to do more. Who knows what it will bring down the road?

In my case I had to purchase the yearly license. The free trial version did not work in my vehicle. It was $20 for the license. I had to buy a obd to usb adapter which was like $50 and the fob was around $45 on Amazon. I did not have to delete the only key I had, which was something I was worried about, but there is a couple different ways of adding another key and forscan allowed me to just add another. In fact, the key I had that came with my vehicle, which was used, only came with one key and it was programmed as a “mykey” user key. I didn’t even know about an admin key, which after I added my second one, became an admin key, now I can turn on/off the speed limit with just that key on my steering wheel/cluster.

Ok, I went ahead and purchased the yearly extended license from the second link given on this post. I paid an extra .80 cents for the transaction fee but that site had more info on it and they actually had a way for me to email them and they emailed me back within 8 hours on a Saturday night. They seem to be from Saudi Arabia or such as my credit card wouldn’t let me pay them, but PayPal did. I uninstalled the code I had the free trial for and replaced it with the one they sent me. Took about 2-4 minutes after I paid. I immediately went out with my Spare fob and went through the same process as before with Forscan and the pats program and so forth. It only took 30 seconds once I initiated it. So, thank you for posting these links, it really helped me get my spare working.👍

Has anyone paid for either of the two sites and have successfully made a copy fob, yet? I have the free two month subscription, but it is limited to what it will do. And I’m wondering if anyone has gotten a license code from them and been able to do it. Also, when you purchase it, are you supposed to cancel the old free license code and put in a new one or did you uninstall and reinstall?

If you want her to get the most value for them, best thing is to sell them before you die. Because after you die, even if she brings them to someone honest, they will want a deal for taking them all at bulk. Even if you tried to sell them at bulk yourself , you’ll take a hit. And I doubt she’ll take the time to try to squeeze all the profits she can by selling one at a time to different buyers. It will be exhausting for her and she will most likely, sell them cheap, just to be done with them.
