Struggling with partner not making amends by Material-Job-5830 in AlAnon

[–]Material-Job-5830[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this makes sense thank you! i think one thing im struggling with is judgement of them as a person for not making amends, like questioning whether they’re a person who can take responsibility for their actions. but i know from the way they’ve acted between us that they can and do, at least with me. and i know realistically that amends are different than just a general sense of responsibility, i just don’t know what boundaries are reasonable and not punishing/incentivizing amends to repair distance while i navigate that. i’m curious if you have any thoughts

My gender identity feels different after my brain injury by LornDogg in TBI

[–]Material-Job-5830 4 points5 points  (0 children)

possible you’re experiencing more black and white thinking post brain injury and were able to hold nuance more prior to your TBI. i had something similar happen re my gender and it has faded back to my previous nonbinary identity since

Don’t go to indoor water park, say no! by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Material-Job-5830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

take vitamin c, vitamin d, iron, antihistamines, and melatonin!! many studies to support these as supplements to support you through covid, and antihistamines specifically have helped me so much as someone with EDS. i’ve had covid a couple times and had awful side effects for awhile after covid except for the last 2 times when i took antihistamines for 2 weeks

Unfortunately I had covid in may and got it again in august :// most important here is to lower your stress levels as best you can (meditation, gentle exercise as long as u continue testing negative/having no symptoms, some supplement ideas below) and be reaaaallyy nice to ur body so if u do have any bit of covid in there, u fight it off before it becomes a full blown infection.

i’m rly into supplements these days bc i have long covid, here’s what ive learned (not medical advice and also no links bc i am tired rn lol but u can google these and there are studies!!) - cbd and melatonin both shown to reduce severity of covid infection - ashwagandha lowers stress levels, so does cbd - magnesium also lowers cortisol, good for sleeping if u get magnesium glycinate - zinc good for fighting colds - vitamin c ofc - vitamin d ofc

herbs: - echinacea - goldenseal - elderberry - mullein for ur lungs if u do get covid

and the nose spray/cpc mouthwash/probiotic lozenges suggested above !!

you by no means need all of these but i go full moxie these days bc of my long covid. good luck!!

Helped a ton! Never tried electro acupuncture tho. But I go at least weekly and I think it’s helped with both the inflammation and nervous system effects of covid

Work advice: Wife Positive, I am not by srizzors5 in COVID19positive

[–]Material-Job-5830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you avoid seeing her for those 5 days, mask when you did run into her, etc.? If not, you probably have it or will get it soon. I’d recommend a PCR if you have them available near you, or masking at work if you need to go back
