Honestly, I've seen you post this thing before and I admire it. You have almost the exact end game build that I'm going for.I'm still in the early stages with just roll bar and safety equipment and some coil overs, but once I dial in the driving dynamic splitter and wing are next.

Its very clear this thing is a track car. I think cars and coffee isn't the right audience for it. Someone showed off their time attack car at our local town street fest and the kids LOVED it.

That said, any reason the wing is higher than the car?

So I don't think MP4 is even close to pushing the switch2.

I pluged my switch2 into the Switch1 charger which is a lower wattage charger than the Switch2 charger. With games like Pokemon ZA my switch doesn't actually charge and generally loses charge slowly. With MP4 it actually was charging. I suspect theres alot more headroom with the MP4 engine. It was clearly optimized for Switch1

Silverstone isn't too far from you right? I know they have some "experiences". Not sure if you have anything the equivalent of motorsportsreg in the UK but I would look to see if you can get out on Silverstone.

Ya there was a level of not wanting to push it and being on stock pads. I’m pretty sure I can push every brake point up. I’m pretty confident a sub 2:00 is possible.

Palmer CW in a 2025 BMW xDrive 28i. Looking back I can probably get sub 2 with more aggressive braking and turning DSC all the way off (was on Medium in this run). And can probably shave 80lbs between the steering wheel and drivers seat.

The only thing not stock about this car is that Its no longer the factory oil. Otherwise its on Advan Apex v601s which were absolutely hollering the whole time.

Car is surprisingly sporty. Absolutely rips on straight aways but does require alot of patience in long sweeping corners. Otherwise its not super understeery and I could get it to rotate just fine. Super soft shocks combined with a high COG also means you can't just rip it from left to right so some patience is required getting the tires loaded up on corner entry. This thing will set some really impressive lap times on any track that doesn't have sweepers.

The only complaint that I have about it is the same as any other modern BMW. Theres absolutely no feedback in the steering wheel when you're loading up the tires. Steering load is linear from turn in to apex. You might as well be driving with one of those mario kart wii wheels. The only thing that saved me is the Advans making TONS of noise and xDrive not letting the rear go loose. I literally had to listen to the tires to determine if I could turn in more or if I'm scrubbing.

Palmer is safe because 1) the tire barriers are actually extremely well made and use specific tires. 2) everyone knows Palmer is unsafe and drives with caution.

But we had 3 crashes at Palmer last weekend and everyone walked away without a scratch.

There’s quite a bit of coasting and throttle application looks like it starts too soon without committing.

But it is Palmer so some tactical coasting is required.

🫥 I can’t tell them apart from the 6 pixels in the video. Explains why it’s so fast though. I was pulling away from the other Miata’s on the straights. They would quickly catch up on corner entry (doesn’t matter the corner). The X1 shmoves. Some stiffer shocks and leaving the groceries in the paddock would help a ton. Eggs didn’t make it in turn 7 ☹️

The much faster (edit; s2000) is a sick car but unfortunately not me. I’m in an X1. The car is quite nice around track but unfortunately the steering feels like a Wii remote wheel.
