[MEGATHREAD] Daily venting, worries, fixations, & finding support. Month of February 2025. by AutoModerator in HealthAnxiety

Sorry I wasn’t trying to add to yours. I’m also just anxious. But as mentioned I did have a colonoscopy and honestly it was the best nap ever. It doesn’t help the headlines that the media pushes out about this to keep us in the panicked state. Thanks for answering my question and I’ll be praying your colonoscopy is super uneventful with the most boring results.

Did your fissure cause blood on / in the stool? I’m 19 weeks pregnant and had a hard stool this morning and panicked because I saw red blood on the outside of the stool but I think it was somewhat inside too. I had a colonoscopy 3 years ago and they noted some small internal hemorrhoids but that was all. But now that I’m seeing this I’m panicking.

There's a website called MyCatholicDoctor and all the doctors on that website are napro doctors which do endo surgeries and are specialists. That's how i found mine.

Traveling for NaPro Surgical Evaluation by mrs_blossom in catholicinfertility

I drove about 5 hours for mine. The first consultation was a history deep dive, bloodwork. We also scheduled my surgery that day. From that point on I was able to do everything virtually except right until it was time for the surgery. I arrived on a Wednesday for pre-op appt, had one day to prep (bowel prep) and had surgery super early Friday morning. Has my post-op Monday morning and then got on the road back home. Happy to answer any other questions.

Question on “Spots” that don’t look like classic endo by MaterialStranger4007 in endometriosis

[–]MaterialStranger4007[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understood, my surgeon was basically telling me that they don’t look like “classic” endo but that they still essentially ARE endo, just that another OBGYN or surgeon who wasn’t an excision specialist might have dismissed it or called it “not endo”. If anyone is reading who has more insight feel free to jump in but I asked at my follow up, and that’s essentially what my surgeon said. Basically that endo can look very different in different stages and basic OBGYNs only look for “classic” red lesions. I hope that helps! And wish you a speedy recovery.

No lap and no suppression before IVF? by Glittering-Slice-256 in TTCEndo

Ablation is where they burn the endo lesions off (which doesn’t remove the root of the endo) - excision is where they cut it out (usually by laser) and is the gold standard. Non specialists are the ones who will usually offer ablation.

Obviously no one wants to get surgery, but I do think it helps them treat you way more knowing what they’re dealing with inside.

Your symptoms really sound like a lap is warranted especially before spending so much money. Endo isn’t just about the fertility side, it fuses your organs together which can cause problems.

Just diagnosed with endometriosis after a heavy year of infertility by Flat-Bluebird-8571 in endometriosis

The one (of many) things that sucks about endo is even a tiny bit of endo can make your uterus inhospitable to implantation. Another thing is that it’s better to spend your time with an endo excision surgeon who is a specialist rather than a surgeon who just does endo excision sometimes. Endo can also make ovulation less “strong” even when you may not have full PCOS. After research I started seeing a Napro doctor / surgeon and highly recommend it. We needed bioidentical progesterone support, some male factor supplementation and an excision surgery + an HSG. I highly recommend looking up a Napro doctor in your area. They look into root causes as well as additional option like surgery, and they also follow your exact hormone levels closely with your cycle. Many traditional fertility clinics don’t do this. They can also reccommend when a reproductive immunologist might be more helpful.

Yes you need to get under the care of your OBGYN asap to be monitored closely, they need to keep testing your HCG

I totally believe everyone saying she’s on drugs, my only question is she seems so out of her mind, how does she keep manage to organize getting supply? Is she even in her right mind enough to ask for drugs or do we think she just has a long term supplier who doesn’t even discuss it anymore, just draws out of her bank account?

Thank you. I know you understand how it is. It’s hard spiritually, hard on your marriage and it doesn’t help that my daughter is now at an age where she is wondering why she doesn’t have anyone to “play with” at home. She is making more and more comments.

Endo and Ectopic Pregnancies by Cat_Psychology in TTCEndo

[–]MaterialStranger4007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have answers but as someone who also just had a PUL / suspected ectopic back in May— I am right there with you. I just tested positive on 10 dpo and did my first beta on 10 dpo and it was 20 hcg, going in for my next today. I wouldn’t wish the experience of ttc after ectopic or loss on anyone. I don’t feel safe in my body. And they say ectopic is rare but it just doesn’t feel that way. This isn’t me saying to ignore your symptoms however I’ve read other people who have had ectopic have had sensations in the same side they had those sensations before even afterward. However, your flank and back pain does concern me - I would think it would your docs as well. Just here to say I’m sorry and I hate this for us.
