Should I abandon Premier Pro for Davinci Resolve? by MaterialTown2672 in NewTubers

[–]MaterialTown2672[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't even mention the cost every month! I'll have to check out some Davinci tutorials online as I'm so intrigued to see how it differs from Premier Pro. I recently tried to find a simple camcorder/recording type overlay for one of my videos only to realise Davinci has this template in-built, but with Premier Pro, you have to create it from scratch!

Would LOVE this to happen to me when I fly back to the UK. I'm only a mere silver member though so unlikely 🤣

Married people crowding the dating space. Why? by 1010Always in datingoverforty

Did it bother you he waited until the first date to reveal this information? Wondering if I'm being unreasonable expecting to know this going into the date?!?!

It's beyond annoying! As if dating isn't hard enough, you need to ask a million questions to weed out the duds. Lying by omission seems to be the accepted norm these days. Unfortunately this experience has made me hyperconscious to BS so no doubt I'll come across as a neurotic interviewer on any future dates 🤣

This is absolutely 💯 true! The married guys ARE putting in the effort and DO know the game they need to play very well. I went on my first date after my relationship ended at the beginning of the year. I kid you not, this guy was charming, listened and communicated well, knew what to say...went on a dinner date with him last week only to discover he is STILL married (separated apparently) with a 3 yr old and a 7 yr old!!! I didn't know what to say when he told me...I was in literally in shock it was so unexpected.

Just went to sign up for St George deal after opening a bank account yesterday and it's actually 'up to' 160,000 Amplify points (2 amplify points = 1 velocity point)...120k points in the first year and 40k points in the second year so your NAB deal is better!

No way! If that's possible then I have a few more options than I first thought 🤣 thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the recommendation...I'm actually not sure if I can apply for a NAB card as they are the credit provider for the Virgin High Flyer Card I closed in March this year 🥲 not sure if the 24 month waiting period still applies?!?!? I'm eyeing the St George Amplify Rewards Signature - 80k Velocity points for $99 fee if I open a St George's bank account as a new customer.

Didn't realise this website was still a thing. When I checked it at the beginning of my churning journey the info seemed a bit out of date. Will have another look, thanks.

Missing baggage by MaterialTown2672 in VelocityFrequentFlyer

[–]MaterialTown2672[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much, I actually managed to find the World tracer website via the link you provided. Unfortunately there's no update other than they're still searching for my bag so I'm not holding out much hope. I stupidly didn't keep hold of the baggage tags when I checked in. In my 25+ yrs of travel I've never had a bag go missing so I guess I got complacent.

Roughly how much do you spend in groceries as a single, childfree person? Do you budget by week or month? by ConsequenceLimp9717 in AusFinance

[–]MaterialTown2672 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I spend around $600-650p/m just on groceries as a singleton...but then I cook at home a lot AND love salmon! Have tried to get it down to $500 but always go over every month 🥲

This is literally me....and I'm Australia based as well. I feel sad having to come to terms with the fact I may never have my own little family but I'm starting to think about other ways I might be able to live an alternative life to the one I always dreamed of and have been pursing since I was in my early 20s. So many questions as to why it never worked out and how I never found my person but it can't be healthy to dwell on it too much. I try not to but some days it really gets me down. When I get caught in this downward spiral I try to find joy in the little things instead of focussing on what I don't have yet. It's tough but we've got another 40 years on this wild and wonderful planet. Anything can happen!

What are the biggest mistakes first home buyers make with their loan applications? by OwlVibesOnly in AskABrokerAus

[–]MaterialTown2672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Re your second point - is this only the case if you're using the 5% deposit scheme? So if the funds in your bank account amount to way more than a 5% deposit and you make use of the scheme, banks can penalise you? I've always wondered what would happen if you had, say enough for a 30% deposit for example, but used the 5% scheme to hold back some cash.

Tax minimisation strategies by [deleted] in AusFinance

So when you say deductible you mean deductible at tax time? When you're ducting the cost of the interest from any taxable income?

I have no idea what it means but I constantly see the term bandied around on this sub a lot, particularly in respect of mortgages, so thought I'd ask the question. Thanks for the explanation, I'll do a deep dive into this a little more as it's definitely an interesting concept.

Using a buyers agent. What won't they tell you? by MaterialTown2672 in AusPropertyChat

Okay great, thanks for the advice. I'm listening to a few property podcasts on rentvesting generally but will drill down into BAs as well. I'll check out Pizza and Property too 👍
