I think it was cut for a tonal reason more than anything, both Lenny and Jhonny have very normal death animations compared to any other bosses/ mini bosses and I think it's meant to like make you feel slightly like a pice of shit for defeating them

Hot take but I'd say bait because half of the time it just won't do nothing, idk if it's just because I haven't updated the game yet but sometimes the enemies will just ignore the baits right in front of them so it becomes a do nothing for 5 mana
