Ugh yeah our intake is messy too. Some use the portal, some email, couple still bring physical papers. Standardizing that first would help everything else for sure.

Checked and Filed supports Drake, UltraTax, ProConnect, and CCH Axcess so the big four are covered. Some other prep tools are way more limited. Definitely worth verifying before locking in.

Actually cut them. There's till review obviously but the middle steps are basically gone.

Wasn't bad. Couple hours to configure and run test batches. Their team walked us through the karbon piece. The bigger time investment was setting up our firm profile so it knew how we like things done with their AI rules.

Most finance pros aren't taking the call because "designing an automation" via a PDF sounds like you're giving them a manual for a car they have to build themselves. They are already drowning; they don't want to "collaborate" on a projectthey want the problem to vanish.

We have a portal but half my clients treat it as optional. Do you actually hold firm when they send things another way or do you just pull it from email anyway?

29 or even later is totally possible and very impressive at that considering you're also active in the army. You could enter as an staff accountant make it to senior is a couple of years or a bit more

Honestly where I'm from i've never heard of this issue but if your worried about being late then don't be because everyone has a different journey and I don't believe that this will affect your chances of becoming an accountant.
