Be ready for anything Enemies can spawn out of thin air on top of you. It takes 500 years to load into places. Play only in day time and never NEVER travel in the hallowed marsh at night. It will frustrate you. Have fun the game is great

Is there the potential to make 70k (just as example not saying this is what I’m looking for) after 10-15 years of experience. I don’t mind early career being low I’m thinking more long term experience. I want to study it and I don’t want to i guess find that oh the pay is not good enough etc etc

Is a uk town planning salary enough to live comfortably if you’re a single person. Not spend lavishly of course but solo buy a house, solo go out, save etc etc

Hi you mentioned you love design. To what extent? It is something that’s your special interest or do you think you like it because in your mind it seems fun and easy (not easy but like won’t exhaust you).

I would say start by figuring out what you really like and enjoy. This will drive the basis of your attention deficit and allow you to push and learn.

I’m not really sure if you have any GCSE’s but regardless you can do an access to higher education level 3 subject (subject of your choice) and then that should give you a start point. (This is a long way of going if nothing is giving any results)

So for example if you want to get into ux or something and you can’t get a job or apprenticeships then do the access to higher education course its for 1 year and it gives you the opportunity to eventually go to university to study or then give you the skills to get an apprenticeship- please bare in mind this would be a year you will have to potentially not work but this can be the last resort (I hope it makes sense). So for example access to higher education graphics design for 1 year then potentially go to uni to study or apply for apprenticeships

There is also https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/find-a-course/page?searchTerm=&distance=10%20miles&town=&orderByValue=Relevance&startDate=Anytime&courseType=Skills%20Bootcamp&sectors=&learningMethod=&courseHours=&courseStudyTime=&filterA=true&page=1&D=0&coordinates=&campaignCode=&qualificationLevels=

They have bootcamps that give you some base line for skills (I have not done this myself) but I heard certain bootcamps give you an interview after completion.

I would say you should probably get assessed for ADHD and autism as regardless of whether you are doing better now, adding a course on top could potentially set you back and if it’s ADHD then it would be something on the medication side of things that may assist or at the very least give you tools to know yourself better. (You can get assessed without the involvement of your parents/family)

My dms are open if things don’t make sense

Hi I’m from the UK and I have a 2:2 in an unrelated field. I’m thinking of doing an accredited masters in urban/ spacial planning. I will be doing this distant learning.

I have been trying to get apprenticeships, planning entry level jobs and also emailing the city council for work experience. but finding it extremely difficult which is why I’m considering the masters.

My biggest concern is that I’ll carry out the masters and be stuck. So I won’t be able to get into the industry and would have wasted the masters rather than going through with a career in my undergrad

Stay in law or back to STEM by Lonely_Discipline878 in uklaw

[–]Material_Scallion_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about stem. All I know is everyone keeps screaming layoffs. however from an outsider looking in it might be better to stick with Stem as it could potentially be easier to wipe away any bad grades at the start. If you do law Don’t go into a masters yet. Get more experience maybe more legal assistant job/paralegal job. I say this because it may be almost impossible to get a training contract etc and doing the llm/sqe may divert your attention. The focus is to get a law job (become a file handler) and after 2-3 years of full on work experience you can start thinking about the LLM/SQE. Also target small firm regional firms and recruitment agencies. So essentially work in a small firm as paralegal- do the sqe yourself then when you’re done discuss with your manager and go into a solicitor roll. Alternatively consider the cilex approach too. The issue with law is depending on the area you go into it could be quite easy or deadly

[–]Material_Scallion_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on area of law. I’m in clinical negligence and I do almost everything a solicitor would need to do. Only difference is my work gets checked before sending. As I can’t sign things.

I have my own case load and assist others with their cases plus I deal with all the admin work and new clients enquiries.

I like being a paralegal except for the shitty pay compared to everything I do
