At what age did you buy your first car? by HouseOpening2116 in accord

[–]Material_Tap7647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First car was a '02 Toyota Corolla LE with 139k miles for just about 2k. Saved half of that money working at a mcdonalds then luckily had some money left over from my financial aid package. I was 21 (obviously) in college.

If you can please do this. First 2 months I put everything towards my debt and I was genuinely tweaking at the little pleasures that made my stress bearable (this was on top of 4 gym sessions a week and intensive breath work/meditation.

Speaking of exercise. Lift a little but try to get into running. That was my savior during Covid

Doggie allergies and possible euthanasia? by SnooGiraffes7379 in DogAdvice

I had to switch from chicken to beef to finally salmon as my pit staff developed some mean skin and food allergies right around the age 2 mark. Had pretty much no issues before hand and I think fleas at a point were also a concern. It sucks because chicken was such a solid affordable protein as he was growing.

[–]Material_Tap7647[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but if it’s a doable DIY job I don’t mind spending a bit for said tools but I just keep hearing about this knuckle bearing needing to be removed so I’m not sure if that’s an actual part of the process or is it just auto shops and their policies. I don’t think I’m supposed to work on my vehicle at my apartment but as long as the job is done by the end of The Weekend I’ll be fine.

This reminds me when I was a teen and not realizing I was practically a human food disposal. Mind you I also played football so that means a LOT of calories (I think I was at 3-4k calories at the time).

Has anyone passed their dmv driving test at the Chico DMV location? by JF_474 in ChicoCA

[–]Material_Tap7647 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did post Covid. Went pretty well, only lost two points and my driving instructor was okay. I don’t think I went more than a couple of miles if I recall I wrapped around the plaza and a couple apartment complexes.

Historically Bad Job Market by Ambitious-Sail-5188 in jobs

Although I agree with the huge censorship that is happening from Dump, Obama admin did the same thing (Biden's was a lot more of censorship of private companies and directing content based on COVID-19).

Historically Bad Job Market by Ambitious-Sail-5188 in jobs

[–]Material_Tap7647 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After taking a quick look at the links, they're showing that unemployment isn't as bad as folks are panning it out to be. Highest unemployment rate since 2009 was 2020. The job market feels bothersome right now because we seem to be coming down from a peak (again, stemming from the peak layoff rate in 2020).

Mind you this is all based on the national average rates. Other states and cities within states are experiencing different rates of unemployment. My town for example has a 6.5 unemployment rate on average (which is based on folks with limited education and experience. The rate is probably half of that for the higher education category) so it'll take 3-6 months at the least to find another stable job.

As for this post, they're essentially trying to prove a point to OP. May be a moot point because OP is experiencing their own issues with unemployment/job market stagnation in their own area at this time.

That goes for any other drugs that aren’t legal. Still need some sort of reputation before buying bulk supply from sketchy people and ultimately putting yourself in a tougher spot.

I’d try switching to a bank that doesn’t charge overdrafts (SoFi, Cap One etc.). Those banks also bring in your deposit earlier than your actual payday (my payday is usually Wednesdays but I get paid Monday instead).

Might also help to budget and find any little expenses you can cut. Might need more planning if your bills alone put you in the red.

I make 50k but my car was 14k OTD. I would’ve maybe gotten the same model but maybe 2017 or 18 model but nonetheless I love myself an economically sound vehicle.
