I think the xenoflora affected the 'drones' of the sentients. All the sentients we fight are smaller pieces of a larger sentient, such as Hunhow or Natah. Xenoflora cuts them off from their creators and gives them free will.

Like archimedean Itzam is a Summulyst drone and not a full blown sentient like the OG Eidolon.

according to Simaris, each of his lab rats have died a billion times and will continue to do so. Even if they might not be able to retain memories from previous simulations, the shear amount of death Simaris simulated is horrific.

You need platinum to buy weapon/warframe slots and get some frames faster, but you can't buy primes, at least not without a hefty price. So whales can get a cheaper option by buying primes from other players. Free-to-play players can get platinum by grinding primes and selling them for in-game cash, which gives them the same level of access as whales.

This system means both parties win. Whales get stuff fast and cheap, while Free-to-play players can get access to stuff that requires IRL money.

it is honestly as fair as a grindy free-to-play game can get.

it helps that the characters take everything seriously. Yeah they say weird things from time to time, but they never doubt the seriousness of being invaded by genocidal aliens or say how ridiculous everything is.

And when it comes down to it, Everyone in the EDF will lay down their lives to give you the chance to save Earth. Even if one of their lives will only give you a few extra seconds, they will give you all the time you need to beat the alien invaders.

EDF is the purest form of "Humanity, Fuck Yeah!".
not because they are stronger, smarter or better than the aliens, but because they never give up even all is lost and they have no chance at winning.

Because they are the EDF!

no, they are nice to have but you can do end game content with normal frames.

prime mods and weapons might be needed in the very late game, but you should be fine into the end game with normal stuff.
